The Short Story

Initial Expectations: This one’s so big it’s scary! I’m expecting either very poor technical aspects due to how long it would take to fit thirty one full scenes on a DVD or the scenes to be chopped down.

Initial Reaction: Use it as a coaster.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants more than a trailer but less than a full scene

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting full scenes

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: Almost all compilations have a little variation from scene to scene due to the many sources they're taken from and this one's no different. The audio and video of the original movies were pretty good, but some had a little bit of background noise and a little pixelation. Sadly, the scenes here are even worse as they're edited down from the originals. There are several jerky moments and more than a few background noises.

Music: There's a little light music here and there, but that's it.

Menus: The main menu is okay, and has a kind of cheesy look that's unique but doesn't give the best first impression. The chapter menu has a nice style, but falls short by just giving you a clip of each scene to make your choice from.

The Feature

Sit down, true believers, as I'm breaking loose of my typical rundown you've come to know and love (or at least know) for 31 Flavors. No, I'm not doing it because there's thirty one scenes here lasting over four hours total and that seems like too much work. I'm doing it because it just isn't worth the effort for this release. Yes, there are thirty one scenes here and four hours, but the scenes are all edited down with a good portion of the scene landing on the cutting room floor. I quickly noticed a kind of jerky feeling to the scenes and they seemed a bit short, so I grabbed a couple of the originals to compare. Many of the scenes appear to be edited down to about half their original length, and one of them I checked was far worse than that as it went from lasting about fifteen minutes to barley making four! This kind of a hack job makes the scenes barely able to get the blood flowing down below and they often feel like little more than an overly long trailer. I'm including a list of the cast and where the scenes come from for those who are curious, but all 31 Flavors did was leave a sour taste in my mouth. This is a rotten release.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for Amateur Angels 19, Camera Club, Dirty Girlz, Fit to be Tied, Over 30 and Dirty, and Tell Me What You Want 5. The photo gallery lasts just under three minutes and annoyingly takes about four seconds to pan through each photo. I've always hated this style, and didn't make it four photos in because of it. There’s also website information and a bonus scene.

Bonus Scene - Jennifer Steele and Chris Cannon

In case you didn’t get enough of the Amateur Angels series, the bonus scene comes from Amateur Angels 2, and actually gives you the full scene. Chris leads of the oral favors exchange until the rough surface starts killing Jennifer’s knees. They move to the pool to start fucking, with Jennifer starting out in missionary and moving through a few other common positions. Finally, Chris pulls out and decorates Jennifer’s ass.

This scene seemed a little below average to me. Jennifer and Chris seem to be into each other pretty well, but I was very distracted by the audio balance. The water splashing was louder than anything else in the scene, and because of it I had an extremely hard time getting into the scene.

The Down -n- Dirty Sex Stuff

Themes: Straight, anal, cream pie (vaginal), interracial, rimming (male > female), toys, and squirting

Raincoat Factor: Medium due to the highly edited feeling of the scenes

Condom Usage: High

The Bottom Line:

Currently, Adam & Eve’s DVDs can be found online for between $8 and $25, with several stores offering this line of DVDs for around $15. Don't even think of paying this much for this DVD. The scenes are all horribly edited down with the only full scene appearing to be the bonus scene. The technical aspects are okay, and the extras are pretty good just for having a full scene. There's some good scenes hacked up in this release, and it's best passed by because of it.

Note to Adam & Eve: If you're going to put out a compilation, please put out full scenes. Whoever had this idea deserves a good kick between the legs.
