Title: 10 Secrets to Great Sex
Studio: Sinclair Intimacy Institute
Year of Production: 2000
Running Time: 60 minutes + 30-minute extra film
Review:
It’s a new volume of Sinclair Institute series, and I can assure you that it’s much better than what Sinclair has been producing all these years. Their videos were not as professional – they were mostly content driven, which is similar to reading a book, so my impression usually was, ‘why bother watching something like that in the first place if you can take a book and read it’? This particular volume deals with recommendations to improve your sex life. There is not much new in what they discuss, but it’s still an interesting collection of suggestions and practical advice. There is a lot of explicit sex there as well – it’s a sign that Sinclair Institute produces more open videos without fear of being banished from the scientific world. I don’t want to list the secrets discussed in the film – I’ll just say that they are directed to the majority of the people who may have average- looking bodies, have not been exposed to too much sex, porn, and hardly know how to manage an intercourse without getting bored to death – basically, the program deals with techniques to spice up your sexual life.
The video and audio quality of this DVD is from above average to good, lighting is fine, audio quality is excellent.
A word of caution: remember, it’s not a f..k flick, but an educational program designed to make your sexual life richer and more exciting. You can watch this DVD with your significant others, friends, and dates. The focus of this DVD is not on the bodies of people who are showing us what to do – it’s rather on the process itself – it actually helps to digest information better and not get distracted by some “busty pornstar with extra cute face”.
Extras:
Bonus short film: Create Your Own Erotic Fantasies (1997, 30 minutes): this bonus film is not bad either – it discusses the role of fantasies in sexual life, and how you construct some of those for yourselves to bring some variety into your and your partner’s sexual life.
Overall: This DVD is one of the better volumes of Sinclair Institute educational series, and deserves a word of praise.
