  Once again I think you're right RP, but to an extent. I truly can't fault someone who has gone on a crusade to right some injustice that they perceive within society, even if they do approach it from a "selfish" perspective. I value the process of political change too much, and after all isn't that at least partially part of democracy that we can bring about change by our actions. Besides that, since we are talking about free speech, even though these crusaders may be kooks, aren't they entitled to voice their kooky opinions. Many times these individuals are simply guilty of being uninformed people with little or no vision.   First off, if we are classifying this "violent porn" as being obscenity, while the government does have the right to regulate obscenity, it does not have the right to make criminal private possession of obscenity (such as the case apparently in the UK now) because of the individual's constitutional right to personal privacy. However the protection does not extend beyond the home. Thus, importation, distribution, and exhibition of obscene materials can be prohibited. Having said all of this, the government may try to sneak in some legislation for this "violent porn" under another constitutionally alloted power.
