He's brilliant, able to mine for comedy gold in everything from the pharmaceutical industry, worldwide sports, Hollywood, politics, space travel, The Olympics, even campaign finance. Even if he's dropping the arch-conservative character, I presume he still knows how to skewer reality.

  ^Now this I wouldn't disagree with. Even Bobby Jindal's proposal includes covering preexisting conditions and the like, albeit through high-risk pools. But covering people that couldn't get health insurance because of preexisting conditions, a minuscule 1% of the previously uninsured, never required the individual or the employer mandate, or the abolition of &quot;substandard&quot; lower-cost catastrophic plans. As long as those negatively affected understand that their pain has never been necessary, the Affordable Care Act could be a potent issue, and repealing it to get back to some semblance of normalcy (in 2017, at the earliest) will be very politically fraught, but there's some hope.
