John Leslie Dupre AKA John Leslie acted in many a classic xxx production from the '70s and '80s. By the late '80s, Mr. Leslie had worked with most of the great porn directors and decided to direct films of his own. He rounded up Jack Remy as director of photography, Bill Heid for jazzy or bluesy music then John directed, wrote or co-wrote and edited a great many films for VCA from 1987 through 1994. Four films from this period appear on JOHN LESLIE 4 ON 1 (2009, VCA Classics-LFP Video Group) including THE CATWOMAN from 1988, THE CHAMELEON from 1989, STRANGE CURVES from 1990 and ANGELS from 1992. At nearly 6 hours, this collection scores well with three really solid productions with ANGELS being the only misfire from the bunch. Standard frame. [read the full review]

This one's a comedy, with a running joke that involved private eye, Marc Wallice being the only one who thinks its raining, sticks his head outside his office and gets a bucket of water to the face. The plot device is Marc spying on Rachel Ashley's hubby, Mike Horner, to see if he's having an affair. Turns out that both Ashley & Horner are just voyeurs who love to masturbate while watching others masturbate. Ah love. The Cast Unquestionably the selling point. Selena Steele is stunningly hot. Strange Curves is a 1989 John Leslie feature recently released on DVD. Considering the original was shot on film, the transfer is very good. Too bad they couldnt improve the storyline and acting, which borders on sophomoric. Joey Silvera comes home from work to find his wife, Victoria Paris, doing two guys, Ray Victory and Buck Adams, in the bedroom. She yells at Joey, tells him she needs more loving, and he leaves. The threesome that ensues is pretty good, with the guys taking turns on the blond bombshell. Finally, Adams comes on her tits and Victory shoots on her ample butt. Despondent Joey drowns his sorrows at a bar where he meets Scott Irish, who complains about his bitch of a sister. The two swap stories of woe and Irish finally suggests they murder each others problem women. Joey declines, saying he loves Victoria. Irishs blond friend, Sasha Strange, interrupts them. It was very good and I have the same hope for the rest of the feature. Initial Reaction: Although the DVD lacks extras, the movie is beautiful, artistic, and very erotic. It also has a very good transfer. Audio /Video Quality: Adam & Eve also has a Spanish language track. As an American, and therefore speaking only one language as the joke goes, I have no clue if it is well done or not. The audio that I can understand synchs very well with the video. Theres a few parts where the dialogue is hard to hear, but overall its very good. The video is also very clear. [read the full review]
