Savannah: the Lost Footage review summaries:
fu_q's
"Savannah: The Lost Footage" is advertised as a "tribute" to one of the true stars in the history of adult films, Savannah. Released a bit after the 15 year anniversary of her tragic passing, this movie promises her fans a renewed look at the actress via offering up some rare footage. Sadly, these promises are largely empty, as the DVD is full not with the "4 Hours of the 'Legendary Savannah'" displayed on the front of the disc, but instead with fifteen scenes--only three of which actually feature the star. In all, the only reason that this DVD received any stars here is due to Savannah. The fact that only three of fifteen scenes include her is shameful. The claims of "4 hours" when there are barely over three is also inexcusable. The lack of a Main Menu and any type of bonuses is unfortunate, as well. I would avoid this disc unless you are the most avid Savannah fan imaginable and have to have everything that she has done. Indeed, Savannah deserves much better than this. [read the full review]

Sky Foxes review summaries:
Tongue in Groove's
Sky Foxes is a 1987 VCA release which offers all that was good (and bad) in 80s porn. That is, the plot is asinine, the sets amateur, the acting miserable, and the pubic hair plentiful. On the other hand, the girls look pretty good (despite the hairy bushes), the camera stays on the action pretty well, and there is heat in nearly every scene. This flick is so old, it apparently was legal in those days to smoke on airplanes. The stewardesses (not called flight attendants then) all wear very low-cut uniforms and take every opportunity to stick their tits in the faces of the male travelers. The star of this oldie but goodies, IHMO, is cute blond Sheena Horne. She offered a girl next door look and was always sexually energetic. Not the drop dead gorgeous looks of, say, Ginger Lynn, but a wholesome face and dynamite body. Come back, Sheena! Blond Megan Bradley gets tag-teamed by Mike Horner and Johnny Nineteen (great name!) in the opener set in a hotel room. She takes a nice pair of facials to end the romp. [read the full review]

Dr. Penetration review summaries:
fu_q's
The maniacal, evil scientist, Dr. Penetration, is after everyone's souls, and the way that he intends to get them is through peeping in on their sexual fantasies...all with a diabolical, new invention. Of course, despite the fact that this nefarious plot actually works, the fantasies are hotter than hell, so it ends up being a win-win for both the viewer and for the good doctor alike. Such is the case in "Doctor Penetration", a very good, 1986 production from acclaimed director Alex DeRenzy. [read the full review]

Fantasy World (LBO) review summaries:
fu_q's
"Fantasy World" is primarily a compilation from LBO that, along with recycled sex scenes from the days of yore, also includes an interesting music video featuring Ginger Lynn performing her pop single, "Fantasy World", with a faux-all-girl band. Somewhat reminiscent of the mainstream group of moderate success and of the same era, Vixen, this is certainly unique, if nothing else. (This single was later available on the "Porn to Rock" CD of the 1990's and can still be heard on YouTube.) Otherwise, this flick is pretty much straightforward sucky-and-fucky, with the highlights most definitely being the Christy Canyon, biker bar gangbang that never (ever) gets old, Ginger taking it in the bum from Marc Wallice poolside with an assist from Candi, and a crazy (but super-hot) scene involving Erica Boyer, Scott Taylor, a penis pump, and some auto-fellatio. Charmed & Dangerous review summaries:
The magus'
Porn movies from the late 80s sure seem strange. Mainstream movies from the era don't look a whole lot different from ones today, but the porn looks like its from another planet. Hairy pussies, teased hair, no tattoos, no piercings, such tepid sex scenes - how did we ever get off on this stuff? We know it wasn't made on another planet because Randy, Hershel, Tom and Peter, all amusingly svelte here, are still going strong, but the starlets are long forgotten. Well, almost forgotten. Nikki and Beverly play hookers who want to leave the fuckee-suckee life, and somehow land jobs on a small town newspaper. They proceed to fuck and suck their way to the big scoop, exposing an Arab plot to take over Dennys and Bob's Big Boy. Paul Thomas is credited with the script. Nikki was one of the forerunners of the teenie look and she gave good head. Amber Lynn and Beverly generate some good enthusiasm, but director Robert McCallum isn't very creative in building any heat. Bryttny Stryker is the one performer who would fit right in todays far more intense environment. [read the full review]
