review from 9/18/2016:
A handful of stunning, though inept, young models find themselves castaway and fending for themselves on a deserted, tropical island when their "business" trip with a group of executives leaves their ship in shambles and them washed ashore. There with them, as they soon discover, is a studly, escaped convict whose good looks and survival skills are matched only by his boyish nature...and his ever-ready dick. Whether the ladies will make it on their own, find true love (...or lust, as the case may be...), or ever find their way home are the questions of the day. Such is the case in "Surrender in Paradise", a very good, 1984 release from Svetlana and VCX. [read the full review]

review from 4/9/2016:
Surrender in Paradise is a fun adult film to come from the early 80s. It is light on plot but what is there works well with the nicely done sex scenes. This is definitely a film worth watching. Collector's Video's DVD release is lacking but isn't so bad that the film isn't watchable. [read the full review]

review from 5/21/2017:
Having secured an acquittal for their wrongly-convicted, island hero friend of the prior film, Jerry Butler, the lovely, once-castaway ladies return to bring their guy back home. Tagging along with them this time, however, is an "adventurer" and photographer, Jay Serling, who's convinced that he's found the way to a lost, Tongan treasure of the past. Of course, this means that the entire group ends up on a hunt for the fortune of yore, which, ultimately brings them into contact with ridiculous, sex-hungry "natives" on another island...who may or may not be all that they seem. Such is the case in "The Pink Lagoon", the sequel to "Surrender in Paradise" and a very good, 1984 release from Collector's Video and the directing duo of Svetlana and David I. Frazer. review from 8/28/2003:
Pink Lagoon is a sequel to Surrender in Paradise. Do not worry if you did not see the original. While the sequel is a good continuation it stands on its own and starts off by giving you enough info on the first to catch you up to speed. The story of the two films is fairly simple a group of models are shipwrecked on a deserted island or so they think. Soon they find out that Arthur (Jerry Butler) who escaped from prison after being wrongly convicted of murdering his wife is also on the island. At the end of Surrender in Paradise when a ship spotted them on the island the girls had to leave Arthur since if he returns he will be sent back to prison. Pink Lagoon starts off a few years later. The girls return with a film crew to scout the islands and give Arthur some good news. Tammy (Ginger Lynn) and two others who return to the island embrace with Arthur and then tell him that he is a free man. The murderer was found and Arthur was pardoned. A celebration ensues and he gives all 3 a good working over (he has been stranded alone for quite a while). [read the full review]

review from 3/26/2017:
Reeling from a recent breakup, Jerry Butler isn't looking for love, or even lust, when he takes a quick vacation to Hawaii with his horndog brother, Jay Serling. Instead, he just wants to be left alone with his own ponderings and ruminations. Encouraged by his brother, however, and also both enveloped by the tropical paradise and having met a stunning, dark-tressed, young woman whom he saves from drowning, he ultimately ends up finding both. Such is the case in "Panty Raid", a very good, 1984 release from VCX, Svetlana, and David I. Frazer. [read the full review]
