Pink Lagoon, The Review

“Pink Lagoon” is a sequel to “Surrender in Paradise”. Do not worry if you did not see the original. While the sequel is a good continuation it stands on its own and starts off by giving you enough info on the first to catch you up to speed. The story of the two films is fairly simple a group of models are shipwrecked on a deserted island or so they think. Soon they find out that Arthur (Jerry Butler) who escaped from prison after being wrongly convicted of murdering his wife is also on the island. At the end of Surrender in Paradise when a ship spotted them on the island the girls had to leave Arthur since if he returns he will be sent back to prison. “Pink Lagoon” starts off a few years later. The girls return with a film crew to scout the islands and give Arthur some good news.

Tammy (Ginger Lynn) and two others who return to the island embrace with Arthur and then tell him that he is a free man. The murderer was found and Arthur was pardoned. A celebration ensues and he gives all 3 a good working over (he has been stranded alone for quite a while). The group then sets off to explore the surrounding islands. The story then takes a little turn after they encounter some natives. Some interesting scenes including Sondra and Ginger encountering Ron Jeremy and Starbuck dressed as head hunters. Sondra has a little oral action with Ron while Starbuck chases Ginger and then has a romantic scene in a grassy field.

Sex: For the most part the sex is tame a few of the standard positions with the big theme being group sex only 2 scenes are 1 on 1. With 3 scenes being 4 or more and 1 being a little voyeuristic action as Ron ravages a native girl the group watches and then Jerry and one of the girls begin to have a little fun of their own.

Conclusion: If you have this on tape or at least saw it no need to watch it again as it is the same. While Sound and video quality may be better other than standard menu and scene selection there are no extras. The Case and Disc look like they were made from a moderate scan. If you have never seen it and are a Ginger Lynn fan as it can be found fairly cheap you may want it just to add to your collection. The story while not that great is interesting with beautiful scenery and even more beautiful ladies. One of the top Videos of the 80s unfortunately did not make a Top Notch DVD, good but far from great.
