review from 4/26/2016:
James is a mild-mannered bank vice president, who occasionally steals an extra newspaper, dines and dashes, and cheats a little on his taxes... he's a closet rebel. Lulu is a free-spirited girl who breaks into houses, steals cars and hearts in equal measure, and apologizes for nothing. When Lulu meets James, they bring out each other's shadow side, leading them on a sexual adventure far from James' straight-laced life, and into a dangerous world that includes Lulu's fresh-out-of-prison-Husband, Ray. David Stanley presents a multi-layered drama, with a story as highly charged as its sex, with an insane threeway, all-natural beauties, and facials galore. Open it up... It's Wild Inside. review from 4/26/2016:
Xoe and Hank are on the run from a set of murderous Twins, out to avenge the theft of their money by Xoe's hand. They're hiding in a hotel with a briefcase full of stolen money and a car trunk full of camping gear. After a few days spent hiding out in the woods, running from the twins and wondering how to evade them, they finally find a hotel to hide in. But the net is closing in fast. Xoe thinks the twins are right behind her...but things might not be so simple. In fact, none of this may be happening at all. Everything - the stolen money, the twins, the chase - might all just be figments of Xoe's imagination. It all just might be In Her Head. [read the full review]

review from 10/7/2013:
Pushed to the brink of madness after stealing a briefcase loaded with cash, Lexi Belle finds herself on the run with her guy (Evan Stone) and imagining her victims, the Russo twins, just about everywhere...or so it seems. Such is the case in "In Her Head", a very good release from Vivid and David Stanley. A mind-bender of an adult film that's somewhat reminiscent of the Hitchcock flicks of yesteryear, this production features both a strong and engrossing plot and also plenty of hot sex. Indeed, a crazy Lexi Belle is just as cute as--if not cuter than--a sane one, and the figments that her mind conjures up are almost always as sexy as they are disturbing. With all of this taken together, this unusual release is easy to recommend. [read the full review]

review from 3/21/2013:
This is an extremely impressive adult feature from David Stanley that really works the mood well. Lexi Belle shines in the lead, with Evan Stone and the Russo twins nicely backing her up. The technical aspects show some terrific effort and really help to make the mood of the movie work as well as it does, and there's some very nice care put into the extras to round out the DVD. This is a fantastic feature that's very deserving of all the praise it's received. [read the full review]

review from 1/21/2012:
"The 3 Way" is an exceptional production from Vivid and David Stanley that focuses on Skin Diamond and Asphyxia Noir as a married lesbian couple whose already-rocky relationship gets turned on its ear when Xander Corvus, Skin's long lost step-brother and past love interest, pops up. Adding further fuel to the fire is the presence of Xander's crazy ex-girlfriend (Brooklyn Lee) and Asphyxia's slimy ex-husband (Tommy Pistol). What ensues is a powder keg of conflicting emotions and physical attraction that ultimately explodes into a steamy burst of sexual energy. Of course, it's all captured on film for the enjoyment of the viewer, and--fortunately--things do conclude on a high note...but not before taking a rough ride through some dark territory. review from 7/14/2011:
"My Little Black Book" is a very good production from David Stanley and Vivid that features Capri Anderson in her first role as a contract performer with the company. Centered around Capri's obsession with Johnny Sins' character and also a black notebook that brings to life whatever is written down in it, this film delivers in terms of both its plot--which is fairly good for an adult film--and in terms of its sex--which is typically very good or better, as well. It's also nice to see that Vivid hasn't entirely forsaken the notion of having Vivid Girls. [read the full review]

review from 1/20/2006:
"A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" So,this is one of those movies that David Stanley is known for. Does it live up to the hype? The Movie: First off, if you don't want a lot of story and dialogue with your porn, don't get this movie. Bare Stage is around two hours long, and a good chunk of that is dialogue. I mean, if you cut the sex out you would still have a 90 minute movie, or something around that time frame. And it helps that the plot and dialogue are actually good. The basic premise of Bare Stage is that Savanna Samson wants to be a famous actress, and she becomes one, but in good ol' David Stanley style, things soon go to hell. The acting in this movie is good. Most of the actors handle their dialogue heavy roles well. The stand out though is Lezley Zen as the hooker with the heart of gold. While most of the actors ham it up, and play their roles with a nice dose of camp, Lezley plays her's with a surprising amount of honesty. I mean, I seriously was just amazed by her acting chops in this one. [read the full review]

The Little Details Running Time: 69 min. Production Date: 7 / 3 / 2003 Director: David Stanley Cast: Briana Banks, Lezley Zen, Ashley Blue, Evan Stone, Steven St. Croix, Eric Masterson, Trevor Zen, and Sharon Kane, David Stanley, and many more in non-sex and cameo roles The Short Story Initial Expectations: Supposedly this movie got Stanley canned by Vivid because they hated it, then it got nominated for a few awards and they loved it and tried hiring him back. Instead Stanley went to Wicked. That story has me really curious about this one! Initial Reaction: I cant wait to see what David Stanley does for Wicked! Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a porn movie about porn Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting long or nasty sex scenes The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and free of background noises, but the balance falters a little in places. The video is very well done, and nicely mixes color and black and white footage. [read the full review]

Pornucopia's
review from 4/15/2004:
Vicious Streak is a strange little flick that leans toward couples-oriented, but throws in enough fetishism to possibly attract the fringe crowd. It starts off with Sunrise Adams as an apartment manager showing a vacancy to prospective tenant Evan Stone. Soon, she has seduced him (why he needs to be seduced by the gorgeous Adams is anyones guess) into a romp on the apartment floor. It ends with a chest cumshot. The next applicant for the apartment is Eric Masterson, who isnt as easily persuaded as Stone. He rejects Adams advances, which not only surprises Adams but intrigues her as well. Meanwhile, Dasha is getting down and dirty with a bald-headed Dillon Day in Adams office. Dillons character is supposed to be gay, and its hard to tell what motivates him to switch teams, other than the lovely Dasha. Dillon comes on her foot. Adams visits Masterson and makes another advance, but again he turns her down. Turns out hes going to be busy videotaping a lezout between Jasmine Lynn and Betty Sue. [read the full review]

Loveless review summaries:
Pornucopia's
review from 4/30/2004:
Loveless is an entertaining flick that is a perfect example of bait-and-switch advertising. The box cover features gorgeous Chloe Jones, and shes got top billing in the credits. But this is really Lezley Zens vehicle. And while Lezley is no dog, shes not in Chloes class looks-wise. Chloe starts the action with a brief threeway with Evan Stone and another guy. The plotline is stupid and not really worth repeating (although Evan is pretty funny in his role). Suffice to say shes enticed to audition for a porno movie, the action is lukewarm at best, and it ends (after a very long jerkoff session) with a double facial. Lezley has a Jewish American Princess look to her, and she keeps a kind of bitchy but sexy persona going throughout. She asks Eric Masterson, her new neighbor, to be her partner in a fuck buddy arrangement, complete with no names exchanged and no falling in love. Eric resembles Chandler Bing in Friends, and Lezley looks a little like the Oh.myGod!!! Janice character from that same series. [read the full review]

review from 9/14/2005:
"A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" Well, I was really impressed with Pretty Girl, so I checked out one of David Stanley's older titles, and, well... what I got was not what I expected. The Movie: I should be giving this movie a lower grade than a four. The sex isn't all that great, and is actually kind of blah, but... there is just something about this movie. The plot goes as this: Ava Vincent is the main character (although Sunrise is on the cover). She starts off the movie as a complete bitch. What isn't on the back of the box is this... the movie is David Stanley's response to 9/11. When 9/11 attacks happen she realises that she has alienated everyone around her, and she wants to make things right. Things end up spining out of control. The plot of this movie is simple, but for some reason it sticks with you after you watch it. Mainly it's because of the acting. Sharon Kane and Ava Vincent both have none sex roles, and yet... they are the most important part of the movie. [read the full review]

Cast: Gina Ryder, Devon, Sydnee Steele, Cassidey, Mark Davis, Vince Voyeur and Erik Price. Director: David Stanley Production date: 4/18/00 (box); 2/28/02 (opening statement) Length: 76 min. Extras: Fetish menu, multiple angles, nine bonus scenes, four trailers and a slide show with 18 photos (of Devon only). Audio/visual quality: The video quality is adequate. The sets and lighting are fairly decent, but the edits between soft and hard-core footage feel disjointed. There are minor problems with mushy focus, too many extreme close-ups, weird framing and medium-length shots that chop off the performers' heads. There's also a flickering line across the bottom of the screen. The audio is better, with a soundtrack of reasonably listenable hard rock and jazz. The music is well balanced with the sex sounds, and the overall volume and clarity are also good. False advertising: Devon is the cover model and receives top billing in the credits. However, Gina Ryder is unquestionably the star of the movie. [read the full review]
