Captain Jack's
review from 9/13/2015:
B.Skow's latest release for Girlfriends Films is this tale of two sisters who are the total opposite! Nadia Styles is a wild child who picks up men for her sex and her husband's amusement. Charley Chase is a little more prudish who is dedicated to her man. This release lasts just under 2 hours with 4 sex scenes in it. When Skow makes a full bodied feature, it's usually top notch! review from 4/26/2016:
James is a mild-mannered bank vice president, who occasionally steals an extra newspaper, dines and dashes, and cheats a little on his taxes... he's a closet rebel. Lulu is a free-spirited girl who breaks into houses, steals cars and hearts in equal measure, and apologizes for nothing. When Lulu meets James, they bring out each other's shadow side, leading them on a sexual adventure far from James' straight-laced life, and into a dangerous world that includes Lulu's fresh-out-of-prison-Husband, Ray. David Stanley presents a multi-layered drama, with a story as highly charged as its sex, with an insane threeway, all-natural beauties, and facials galore. Open it up... It's Wild Inside. review from 4/26/2016:
Xoe and Hank are on the run from a set of murderous Twins, out to avenge the theft of their money by Xoe's hand. They're hiding in a hotel with a briefcase full of stolen money and a car trunk full of camping gear. After a few days spent hiding out in the woods, running from the twins and wondering how to evade them, they finally find a hotel to hide in. But the net is closing in fast. Xoe thinks the twins are right behind her...but things might not be so simple. In fact, none of this may be happening at all. Everything - the stolen money, the twins, the chase - might all just be figments of Xoe's imagination. It all just might be In Her Head. [read the full review]

review from 10/7/2013:
Pushed to the brink of madness after stealing a briefcase loaded with cash, Lexi Belle finds herself on the run with her guy (Evan Stone) and imagining her victims, the Russo twins, just about everywhere...or so it seems. Such is the case in "In Her Head", a very good release from Vivid and David Stanley. A mind-bender of an adult film that's somewhat reminiscent of the Hitchcock flicks of yesteryear, this production features both a strong and engrossing plot and also plenty of hot sex. Indeed, a crazy Lexi Belle is just as cute as--if not cuter than--a sane one, and the figments that her mind conjures up are almost always as sexy as they are disturbing. With all of this taken together, this unusual release is easy to recommend. [read the full review]

review from 3/21/2013:
This is an extremely impressive adult feature from David Stanley that really works the mood well. Lexi Belle shines in the lead, with Evan Stone and the Russo twins nicely backing her up. The technical aspects show some terrific effort and really help to make the mood of the movie work as well as it does, and there's some very nice care put into the extras to round out the DVD. This is a fantastic feature that's very deserving of all the praise it's received. [read the full review]

review from 1/21/2012:
"The 3 Way" is an exceptional production from Vivid and David Stanley that focuses on Skin Diamond and Asphyxia Noir as a married lesbian couple whose already-rocky relationship gets turned on its ear when Xander Corvus, Skin's long lost step-brother and past love interest, pops up. Adding further fuel to the fire is the presence of Xander's crazy ex-girlfriend (Brooklyn Lee) and Asphyxia's slimy ex-husband (Tommy Pistol). What ensues is a powder keg of conflicting emotions and physical attraction that ultimately explodes into a steamy burst of sexual energy. Of course, it's all captured on film for the enjoyment of the viewer, and--fortunately--things do conclude on a high note...but not before taking a rough ride through some dark territory. "My Little Black Book" is a very good production from David Stanley and Vivid that features Capri Anderson in her first role as a contract performer with the company. Centered around Capri's obsession with Johnny Sins' character and also a black notebook that brings to life whatever is written down in it, this film delivers in terms of both its plot--which is fairly good for an adult film--and in terms of its sex--which is typically very good or better, as well. It's also nice to see that Vivid hasn't entirely forsaken the notion of having Vivid Girls. [read the full review]

review from 3/8/2009:
David Stanley turns out a fantastic adult feature here that's reminiscent of features from the golden age of porn. With a well written story that's not quite linear, a great eye behind the camera, and fantastic performances from Randy Spears, Sasha Grey, and Nina Hartley, the story portions of the movie just might be more compelling than the sex scenes, which are normally short but full of chemistry. The technical aspects are very well done for the movie and the extras show a little effort to help out the overall DVD. This release isn't going to be for everybody due to its style, but it's a very well made movie that shows why David Stanley deserved to get a lot more credit for his work than he ever seemed to receive. This is a very fun release. The sex is a bit simple, but the story portion of the feature is absolutely hilarious. David Stanley does every bit as good of a job playing the head of the hillbilly family in front of the camera as he does directing the movie behind it, and Carmen Hart does a great job both acting and fucking. The technical aspects are nicely done and there's some very nice care put into the extras. This is easily one of the best adult comedies to come out of 2008. [read the full review]

David Stanley lets it all out here with a completely bizarre feature that's extremely interesting and enjoyable. It works largely due to the great job the cast does with the script, but sadly the sex holds the movie back a bit. It's consistent but extremely average and always left me wanting more. The technical aspects are also pretty good, but are held back by some very low lighting that popped up a bit too much. The extras are nicely done and show the same nice effort one can't help but expect with a Wicked DVD. This is a very nice release that's well worth checking out if you want something other than the typical porn feature. [read the full review]

It's the night before the end of the world, and Randy Spears and Kirsten Price are going out with a bang. They plan a sexual party with plenty of friends and let the good times roll. As usual with David Stanley it's very artistic and unique, but Kirsten and Randy put out such fantastic chemistry with each other as well as overall great performances that the entire movie stays grounded as well as soaring into the sky. The sex is above average, but the technical aspects and extras show some very nice care. This is a wonderfully unique movie that I couldn't help but love. [read the full review]

Strangers When We MeetWickedStarring: Sativa Rose, Kelly Kline, Mika Tan, Jezebelle Bond, Jenaveve JolieDirected By: David StanleyFEATURE: I'm a Wicked fan but this is the first David Stanley flick I've seen. With this cast he has a lot to work with. The movie starts with one of my pet peeves, the two in one scene, where you have two separate couples boning in completely separate scenarios but somehow decide to squeeze both couplings into a single, bad, bottle necked and compressed scene. This is followed by another time saver, the BJ only scene. The film does have normal scenes, three, and they are all good, especially the last two. Overall I guess this is about what you should expect from a couples feature. It has a better script and better acting than most, and a cast who do a good job in the sexual chemistry department. At the other end of the spectrum I want longer scenes with better lighting. [read the full review]

Overview A sage 20th century philosopher, Dale Bozzio, once remarked: " What are words for ? When no one listens there's no use talking at all. " Right, and so what what we have here is a story of how 2 photographers, Randy spears & Carmen Hart, each in unfulfilling relationships( Eric Masterton & Roxy Jezel), and the ways they SILENTLY long for on another from a distance until fate, and a far fetched accident brings them together at last to consummate their unspoken desires for each other. Sex Highlights Ok, bias alert. I think Carmen is cute as a button,& i'd prolly enjoy seeing her do her laundry. That being said, her enthusiastic bathroom blowjob on Chris Cannon was very sexy, and her enthusiasm/technique upon Chris' cock was bonerific. Bonus, during the scene Carmen gets her perfect ass pucker licked and fingered by Chris as well. [read the full review]

Plot/Story: Randy is a 40 something business man in a loveless marriage. During a business trip to Europe he wakes up to find Carmen Hart sharing a bed with him. What follows is a hilarious series of events culminating with Randy coming to understand the meaning of love and happiness, along with some great sex. I dont want to explain the plot too much because there are some surprises in it that are better left untold. Scenes: Barrett Blade and Jamie Huxley: Randy attempts to call his wife from the hotel, but she is too busy getting fucked. Nice little scene. Both performers were smiling at each other during the oral action, with a little bit of giggling and quick kisses. This is a lot more like two kids in love than a cheating spouse scene. I like how she sucks her thumb while getting done doggy style. Ends in a nice facial and cleanup. Randy passes out in bed to dream of a woman walking in. Randy takes her shoes off and puts then in his mouth while she massages his dick wither her feet and he sucks on toes. [read the full review]

review from 2/10/2006:
Are We In Love is a Wicked feature, which typically means couples sex, gorgeous women, and too much storyline and dialogue. But thats not the case here. Yes, there are some periods of plot development between the sex action, but the story keeps moving at a fairly brisk pace and the sex is hot enough that youll probably need a cool-down period after each sex scene. Forget the plotit has something to do with Kelly Kline and whether she and her man are right for each other. We start off with a girl/girl romp between Kimberly Kane and Mia Smiles. Im not a big fan of lezouts, but this one is filmed well and theres a lot of heat between the two girls. Ebony beauty Lori Alexia takes on Niko in the next scene. Its another fairly hot scene, and both performers seem to be into the action, which ends with a nice popshot on Loris mug. Kelly Kline finally gets into the action in a flashback scene with Chris Cannon in a classroom. [read the full review]

Never thought I would find myself watching clown pornand liking it. This is the first David Stanley movie for me since The Big Game a very long time ago (pretty decent movie if you can find it). Looking forward to seeing how he has matured since then. Plot: Evan Stone is a sad clown and recovering drunk who is in love with his roommate Kaylani Lei. Although he loves her, but can never find the words to express himself. After being at the death bed of his mentor clown (played by David Stanley) he resolves to tell Kaylani how he feelswhich ends up taking the rest of the movie. Overall the plot was pretty good. It was sad in places, but pretty funny without being campy. Audio/Visual: Great lighting and video quality. The music was also well put together. The mixture of circus music and mid-century lounge music fit nicely in with the plot of the movie. Extras: Behind the scenes, photo galleries, bonus scene from Between the Sheets, trailers, box cover shoot. Scene 1. Nicole Sheridan, Voodoo - pretty good scene despite being in black and white. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" Well, I enjoyed David Stanley's Good Things, so I decided to give his latest movie a chance. Is it a move towards a better David Stanley? The Movie: Before I get to the review, let me just tell you the plot. Nicole Sheridan is the lead in this little tale, and she also got the cover. Her character is going through a little bit of hell when the movie starts. She finds out she's pregnant, her husband leaves her, and then she gets robbed. Now she is just looking for a man to protect her. Here are some of the pros and cons of Polarity: Pros: Sex-This has to be one of David Stanley's hottest movies. The sex is well filmed, and he throws in some nice elements such as candle wax to spice things up. You also get to see Nicole Sheridan working with someone other than her husband in this movie. She has a scene with Chris Canoon, and then Randy Spears towards the end. Style and Pacing- The movie is very well filmed, with Stanley injecting a nice bit of style into the production. "A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" So,this is one of those movies that David Stanley is known for. Does it live up to the hype? The Movie: First off, if you don't want a lot of story and dialogue with your porn, don't get this movie. Bare Stage is around two hours long, and a good chunk of that is dialogue. I mean, if you cut the sex out you would still have a 90 minute movie, or something around that time frame. And it helps that the plot and dialogue are actually good. The basic premise of Bare Stage is that Savanna Samson wants to be a famous actress, and she becomes one, but in good ol' David Stanley style, things soon go to hell. The acting in this movie is good. Most of the actors handle their dialogue heavy roles well. The stand out though is Lezley Zen as the hooker with the heart of gold. While most of the actors ham it up, and play their roles with a nice dose of camp, Lezley plays her's with a surprising amount of honesty. I mean, I seriously was just amazed by her acting chops in this one. [read the full review]

review from 4/15/2004:
Vicious Streak is a strange little flick that leans toward couples-oriented, but throws in enough fetishism to possibly attract the fringe crowd. It starts off with Sunrise Adams as an apartment manager showing a vacancy to prospective tenant Evan Stone. Soon, she has seduced him (why he needs to be seduced by the gorgeous Adams is anyones guess) into a romp on the apartment floor. It ends with a chest cumshot. The next applicant for the apartment is Eric Masterson, who isnt as easily persuaded as Stone. He rejects Adams advances, which not only surprises Adams but intrigues her as well. Meanwhile, Dasha is getting down and dirty with a bald-headed Dillon Day in Adams office. Dillons character is supposed to be gay, and its hard to tell what motivates him to switch teams, other than the lovely Dasha. Dillon comes on her foot. Adams visits Masterson and makes another advance, but again he turns her down. Turns out hes going to be busy videotaping a lezout between Jasmine Lynn and Betty Sue. [read the full review]

Pornucopia's
review from 4/30/2004:
Loveless is an entertaining flick that is a perfect example of bait-and-switch advertising. The box cover features gorgeous Chloe Jones, and shes got top billing in the credits. But this is really Lezley Zens vehicle. And while Lezley is no dog, shes not in Chloes class looks-wise. Chloe starts the action with a brief threeway with Evan Stone and another guy. The plotline is stupid and not really worth repeating (although Evan is pretty funny in his role). Suffice to say shes enticed to audition for a porno movie, the action is lukewarm at best, and it ends (after a very long jerkoff session) with a double facial. Lezley has a Jewish American Princess look to her, and she keeps a kind of bitchy but sexy persona going throughout. She asks Eric Masterson, her new neighbor, to be her partner in a fuck buddy arrangement, complete with no names exchanged and no falling in love. Eric resembles Chandler Bing in Friends, and Lezley looks a little like the Oh.myGod!!! Janice character from that same series. [read the full review]

RubyRed's
review from 9/14/2005:
"A Gay Man's Take on Straight Porn" Well, I was really impressed with Pretty Girl, so I checked out one of David Stanley's older titles, and, well... what I got was not what I expected. The Movie: I should be giving this movie a lower grade than a four. The sex isn't all that great, and is actually kind of blah, but... there is just something about this movie. The plot goes as this: Ava Vincent is the main character (although Sunrise is on the cover). She starts off the movie as a complete bitch. What isn't on the back of the box is this... the movie is David Stanley's response to 9/11. When 9/11 attacks happen she realises that she has alienated everyone around her, and she wants to make things right. Things end up spining out of control. The plot of this movie is simple, but for some reason it sticks with you after you watch it. Mainly it's because of the acting. Sharon Kane and Ava Vincent both have none sex roles, and yet... they are the most important part of the movie. [read the full review]

review from 7/28/2002:
Cast: Gina Ryder, Devon, Sydnee Steele, Cassidey, Mark Davis, Vince Voyeur and Erik Price. Director: David Stanley Production date: 4/18/00 (box); 2/28/02 (opening statement) Length: 76 min. Extras: Fetish menu, multiple angles, nine bonus scenes, four trailers and a slide show with 18 photos (of Devon only). Audio/visual quality: The video quality is adequate. The sets and lighting are fairly decent, but the edits between soft and hard-core footage feel disjointed. There are minor problems with mushy focus, too many extreme close-ups, weird framing and medium-length shots that chop off the performers' heads. There's also a flickering line across the bottom of the screen. The audio is better, with a soundtrack of reasonably listenable hard rock and jazz. The music is well balanced with the sex sounds, and the overall volume and clarity are also good. False advertising: Devon is the cover model and receives top billing in the credits. However, Gina Ryder is unquestionably the star of the movie. [read the full review]
