Review brief: Women Seeking Women is the well/often decorated veteran of the Girlfriends Films stable. I cant think of another lesbian series with 74 volumes to its credit. Its continued popularity is a testament to the overall quality of the series. What attracted me to this volume was the presence of the four women who occupy the middle two scenes in this video: Melissa Monet, Dana Dearmond, Julia Ann, and Veronica Avluv. The other four women are great, but they werent why I wanted to get a copy of this DVD they turned out to be a bonus. The star power alone of this video should be enough to send it flying off the shelves. Customers will get good value for money, in my opinion, and this video gets a strong buy recommendation.

Review brief: This is the 72nd installment in this award winning series from Girlfriends Films. I decided to watch this one because Jessi Palmer and Magdalene St. Michaels were in it and I happen to be a BIG fan of both. There are four scenes in this video. Unlike most of the WSW series, this video has a premise that connects all four scenes. Four women consult a psychic who predicts that they will each have a relationship. The number of psychics who could go four-for-four can be counted on the fingers of one hand, I think, but the premise works here, and gives the video a cohesiveness often lacking in videos from the WSW series (not that I care, because the sex is usually smokin hot).

Review brief: As the title indicates, this is the 19th installment in the long running Mother Daughter Exchange Club series from GFF. The original premise (a website where mother/daughter couples can meet each other for older/younger hookups) is still somewhat intact. There are four scenes in this video. As is standard for the series, the scenes are paired, in terms of the setup, so that the video breaks down into two halves. I must confess that I have been looking forward to this release since I heard that Brenda James and Jessi Palmer were paired in it. And, Im also a big fan of two other stars in this flick, Zoey Holloway and Persia Monir. The MDEC series has generally been good with more hits than misses. Episode 19 is definitely in the hit column as far as Im concerned.

Review brief: Net Skirts Release 5.0 is, as the title suggests, the fifth in the series from Girlfriends Films. It started as a series about a lesbian hook-up website (Net Skirts) and the encounters that the website created. The current iteration pays some lip service to the fictitious web site but mostly just puts two women together on a bed where they have sex. There are four scenes in this video with two women in each scene. I really liked this edition of Net Skirts. I mean, come on look at whos in it? Its a whos who of Sapphic Starlets, including a pair of my all time favorite women, Tanya Tate and Anita Dark (who, unfortunately, arent paired in this video, alas), and this will be, I think, the sixth or seventh time that Prinzzess and India Summer have appeared in a scene together. PLUS, Elexis Monroe, who is probably the greatest girl-girl performer ever, gets a second taste of Amber Chase, with whom she shared a very steamy scene in Imperfect Angels 9. So, all in all, this lo

Review brief: The further adventures of female detectives and police officers in the Thornhill PD. In this episode, one cop (John) gets killed and another (Jayden) wounded. The plot revolves around the investigation of the murder. This is the second in the series, both directed by Melissa Monet. This being Thornhill, the women all dig each other and have no qualms about using the flimsiest pretexts to have sex. That doesn't bother me much because when Im watching DVDs like this my brain isn't getting enough blood to notice how lame the plot is as long as there's enough good sex. Like the first volume in this series, the sex is hot. Since my mother told me once that if you cant say something nice dont say anything at all, I'll limit my comments on the plot, the acting, and the writing.

Review brief: This is the fifth in the Girlfriends Films series about a lesbian real estate company in the mythical (but very gay friendly) hamlet of Thornhill. The setups are minimally logical but who cares? The point is that the ladies end up 1) in bed together and 2) naked. Why else are we watching this stuff anyway? Camera work, lighting, and sound are all up to GFFs usual high standards. I dont pay any attention to DVD extras so Im not going to comment on what comes with this one. The all star cast includes some of my favorite GFF regulars, including Tanya Tate, Dana DeArmond, Prinzzess, and Ariella Ferrera.

Review brief: As the title indicates, this is the 9th in GFFs Imperfect Angels series. Its another one of their soap operas set in the mythical town of Thornhill, which apparently has more lesbians per capita than any other town in the good old USA. The plot, at this point, revolves around the fact that Heather Starlet, who is in love with her step mother Brenda James (and why not? James is a stone cold FOX), had sex with Brenda (way to go Heather!), but then caught Brenda with another girl and freaked. She tells her father who ends up kicking them both out of the house. It becomes something of a local scandal.

Review brief: Netskirts 1.0 is Girlfriends Films foray into the premise of social networking. Think Facebook. Thats pretty much it. Women post their profiles and then have encounters with each other for a variety of reasons. If you like your sex hot, nasty, and over-the-top, this video isnt for you. The scenes here are, by and large, romantic with lots of build-up before people actually get naked (or even partially naked). This is typical of GFF videos and usually I dont mind it, but in this case I think theyve gone too far. If the women in these videos could act theyd be doing movies and television. They can, and do, act (and mostly they do it well) for short bursts. Attempts at sustained non-sexual scenes are risky sometimes they work but often they dont.
