The Movie

Zombie Nation is a hardcore all sex movie from director Kendo and writer Ronin. Zombie Nation offers the viewer a bleak view of the world where zombies have taken over, and humans run from zombies, yet are apparently safe while procreating with them. How exactly this works isn't ever explained in the movie. To be honest, nothing is defined in the movie.

Zombie Nation is an odd, odd, odd movie. Zombie Nation just offers a series of sex scenes where the recently, and not so recently, deceased copulate with the not yet deceased. Honestly, this reviewer finds this to be an odd choice, but this reviewer is going to assume that there is a fetish for this kind of movie, since it was made.

Graveyards, abandoned churches, and old stairwells all serve as locations for the unholy copulating. The sets are fabulously done. A lot of work went into creating the locations that are seen in the movie, and they look great on the screen. The make-up job for the zombies is incredibly well-done, creating zombies that look uncomfortably dead.

With all the work that went into the sets and the make-up, this reviewer wonders why Kendo and Ronin decided to make this as an all-sex movie instead of going the plotted route. With a plot (and far less undead couplings) Zombie Nation could have been a far better movie.

As far as the sex scenes themselves, this reviewer would have to believe that enjoyment factor would depend on exactly how erotic you find walking corpses having sex with living people. This is not a fetish this reviewer has so the sex did nothing for him. If this is an enjoyable fetish to you, the viewer, the sex may be far more erotic.

Zombie Nation is an all-sex movie for the zombies fucking fleshbag fetishists. Unless this is a fetish of yours, this reviewer can see absolutely no reason to view this movie. Zombie Nation is an easy pass.

The Edition

The edition of Zombie Nation screened is the streaming-only edition available on TVXHardcore.com. Television X has done a poor job with their streaming-only edition of Zombie Nation. Zombie Nation is presented in the non-anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 letterboxed to 1.33:1. As a result, the final image is letterboxed to 1:331: and the entire image is then pillarboxed to 1.78:1. Besides this, the image itself appears to be in lower definition than a viewer would expect.

In addition, for some unexplained reason, the third scene from the movie, with Diana Gold and an unknown male, is missing from this streaming-only edition. The edition available from other streaming and download sites appears to have the scene intact. As a result, the original 95 minute run time is reduced to 77 minutes.

Zombie Nation is presented with an English Stereo audio track. The screaming and moaning (both from the zombies and from the sex) can be easy heard. This reviewer didn't note any issues with the sound quality.

Television X doesn't offer any extras for Zombie Nation.

Final Thoughts

Zombie Nation is a bizarre adult all sex movie that features the living dead having sex with still breathing (although one assumes not capable of smelling) humans. The set work and the make-up and costuming are exceptional; however, the sex itself is completely unerotic (unless you fantasize about necrophilia — having sex with a decaying corpse.). This reviewer finds Zombie Nation to be an easy movie to pass on. The streaming-only edition of Zombie Nation on TVX Hardcore is in poor shape with a non-anamorphic widescreen image that is in low definition.
