Synopsis:
A compilation of adult scenes featuring porn superstar Jenna Jameson from her earlier films with Vivid Pictures.

Video/Audio:
Young Jenna is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1. The original aspect ratios of the films included is unknown, but since they were done for Vivid it is safe to assume that they were originally full screen. If any did happen to originally be in widescreen it is best that they are formatted into the full screen aspect ratio for continuity. The picture quality varies from scene to scene. Overall the picture is clear with minimal artifacts and correct color levels. In a few scenes the picture is soft and the color levels are slightly off.

The available audio track is a 2.0 English Stereo track which works well for the material presented here. Most of the scenes sounded like they were actually a 2.0 Mono track, but a few could have been in Stereo. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available. Viewers who have difficulty understanding English will still enjoy this film as understanding what is said isn't necessary.

Chapters/Time Code:
Like past Vivid Interactive compilations that I have seen, instead of having a standard movie set up, the main menu links to the 12 scenes available in the film. Each scene stands alone and they can't be watched with just one selection. With no descriptions of the scenes from the main menu, just a short video clip to identify the scene, you really have no idea of the content. There is a time code for each scene, but since the scenes aren't incredibly long, time searching is pointless.

Special Features:
Although Young Jenna has several extras on the disc, almost none of them have to do with the compilation. The only extra here that has anything to do with the feature film is a photo gallery that contains 14 photos on a track that the camera pans over.

The non-feature specific extras are bonus rooms contain two extra scenes; one, titled Dasha Goes Anal, is a 13 minute scene from Unconscious and the other, titled Lexus Girl on Girl, is a 10 minute scene from Babylon. On the set is a 15 minute piece on the making of Thrills. Available previews are for Nice Guys Finish Last, Girls Only: Cassidey, Fluff, and Girls Only: Charlie.

And for the all out spam extras, phone sex is an advert for a 900 number. The web is an advert for Vivid's Internet presence.

Review:
Young Jenna is a recent compilation film from Vivid. For those of you who have seen their recent soft-core compilation Jenna Jameson Revealed you will find that this film has the hardcore versions of some of the scenes from this film. As for whether this is the definitive compilation of Jenna Jameson's scenes, the answer is no, but it is still enjoyable and you could do much worse.

Since this is a compilation, there is no plot to get in the way of the sex. There is a nice variation on settings in the film which keep the scenes fresh instead of monotonous. As this is a compilation from other sources, the scenes differ in style and quality.

For the most part the sex presented here is rather tame, but then again, Vivid is known for being usually couples friendly. There is a decent variation of types of scenes in this compilation, five of the scenes are male and female, five of the scenes are female only and two of the scenes are solo. Sexual themes in the film are vaginal and oral sex with lesbian, female masturbation, anal fingering, fingering, toys, female to female rimming and anal (toys).

The Money Shot:
It's a no brainer that fans of Jenna Jameson will want to pick up this compilation. As for other viewers, fans of no plot and those who are interested in seeing this porn superstar in action will find enjoyment here. Viewers who require a plot or nasty sex will want to skip this one and look elsewhere.
