Yeah, I Swallow Review

NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects vary a bit through the movie. The audio has a few background noises, but they’re very minor. It’s also nicely balanced for the most part. The video varies a bit, but nicely mixes black and white footage with color footage to give the movie a nicely artistic feel without robbing it of its sexuality. The cover states that it’s all in 16:9 widescreen, which I love. Unfortunately, only the first scene is in anamorphic widescreen. Sadly, that first scene is also marred by some horrible grain that makes it look almost as if it were shot on film. The rest of the scenes are presented in non-anamorphic widescreen, and look great. If the first scene had been as clear as the others, and the rest of them would have been presented in anamorphic widescreen, this one very well might have received a perfect rating for its technical aspects. For a small studio, that’s really saying something.

Music: There’s a little to start off the final scene, as well as in the opening of the movie. It’s nicely done music, and definitely helps things out.

Disc Complaints: The authoring for the DVD is a little weak. Each scene has its own title, so if you watch a scene and want to go back and see part of it again, you have to go through the chapter menu because you can’t skip back to previous chapters. Navigation is even more difficult because there’s no time stamp to the movie. If you want to watch the second half of the fifth scene again, for example, you’re going to have to scan through the entire first half of the scene to get there rather than just punching the time into your remote and going right there. I get the feeling that Marie puts a lot of care into her DVDs, so I hope that this will soon become a thing of the past.

Menus: The menus are very basic. They’re all unanimated, with the main menu having a picture of the boxcover and the chapter menu letting you choose a scene based on a still photo and title for each scene.

The Feature

”Yeah, I Swallow features Marie Madison and goes for a vignette feel. Each scene features Marie and normally has a little lead-in for the scene. Other than having Marie sucking cock and swallowing seed in each scene, the scenes are unrelated.

Scene 1 - Waiting

Marie comes down a staircase looking pretty cute in a striped shirt and blue overalls. She finds her man waiting for her, and makes her way over to the chair so he can sit back and she can suck his cock. She looks up at him a little to give him a naughty smile, but most of the time concentrates almost completely on the cock. This is a pretty good scene. Marie looks like she enjoys sucking cock, and the camera captures it pretty good. It gets a little close much of the time, but there’s a great spirit about the scene that really makes it work. This is a very nice start to the movie.

Scene 2 - I Need a Drink

Marie starts things out reading a book while sitting around in a spaghetti strap top and jean shorts, and lights up a smoke. She asks her man for something to drink, and when he brings her a can of beer that’s not quite up to the caliber of my piss she gives him a naughty smile and tells him that it’s not quite what she had in mind. This is another nicely done scene. I love how they started things out with a nice slow tease as well as how they used two cameras to give it a nicely balanced feel. Scene 3 - Red Satin Swallow

Marie starts out the third scene sitting on the edge of the bed wearing a black bra and panties underneath red satin jammies. This is yet another nicely done scene. No, there’s not anything new here, but with how well Marie sucks and swallows I could barely look away from this scene. This is another hot oral scene.

Scene 4 - Bathroom BJ

Scene 5 - 2 For 1

Marie starts out the penultimate scene in a red spaghetti strap top and jean shorts putting on her black belt. Scene 6 - Morning Swallow

As I’ve said time and time again, oral movies just don’t do it for me. The only reason I really picked up ”Yeah, I Swallow” is because Marie Madison is a small studio and I was curious about them. Oh, and it was cheap too. That said, ”Yeah, I Swallow” blew me away (no pun intended). On paper, I’d probably pass this one by. An oral movie that’s roughly 90% POV with only one girl sounds like something that would put me out faster than listening to Dr. Phil talk about weight loss. Instead, I was completely into the movie. Yes, the guy with the camera normally gets way too close and cuts off part of Marie’s head a good portion of the time, but I didn’t care. Yes, the scenes all have the same feel and not much to break them apart, but I didn’t care. There’s a natural enjoyment here that raises the scenes far past the little problems, and even though the problems are recurring, the movie actually built up heat as it went and I enjoyed the scenes more and more as it went on. ”Yeah, I Swallow” is easily one of the best oral movies I’ve seen, and definitely has me needing to see more from Marie Madison.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Marie Madison’s DVDs can be found online for about $15. At that price, this one’s well worth the money. It has a few technical problems and not a lot of extras, but the movie is wonderful and had a smile on my face and my complete attention the entire time. This is a great movie that’s definitely worth checking out!

Note to Marie Madison: You definitely set a great first impression with me. A little polish could go a long way here. First, it’s great to see you going with a widescreen format, but please make up your mind whether you want to do anamorphic or non-anamorphic for your presentation (and I’d really like to see it in anamorphic). Second, add a little polish. There should be plenty of room here for an extra or two. You’re a small studio, so include an interview about yourself and your studio or just talk about it straight out. An extra or two to let people know about some of your other releases would also be great rather than just a couple trailers. Compared to a lot of amateur and small studios out there you’re doing a fantastic job. Maybe it’s a little too good since with releases like this you’re looking good enough to take on the big boys. Finally, please watch your cover claims. This movie was hot enough that you have no idea how much I hated to penalize you! Keep up the great work!
