The Movie

The Wrong Sister is the directorial debut of Kristen Scott, who has proven time and time again her skills in front of the camera. With The Wrong Sister, Kristen Scott proves she also has skills behind the camera. The Wrong Sister is a featurette-style feature movie that has an extended plotted lead-in, similar in vein to a vignette-style movie except far more complex than a standard vignette, and a sex scene.

The story for The Wrong Sister is that Kristen (Kristen Scott) is a conceited stuck up bitch who is going out with Isiah (Isiah Maxwell). Kristen's sister Leigh (Leigh Raven) has just broken up with her abusive boyfriend, Jack. Isiah invites to Leigh to stay with him and Kristen since she has nowhere else to stay.

A lot of work went into the storied portion of The Wrong Sister. The opening to the featurette has more plot than some full feature movies. The opening takes the time to establish three-dimensional characters, so the resulting sex scene isn't just two people having sex. The actor and actresses in The Wrong Sister do a great job with their material, especially Kristen Scott — who viewers will come to loathe before the movie is over.

The sex scene features Leigh Raven and Isiah Maxwell; both of whom give great sexual performances, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who has seen their past sexual performances. They both bring high intensity to the sex scene and appear to have genuine chemistry.

The Wrong Sister itself looks beautiful. The movie was shot by Sal Genoa, who did an excellent job of capturing both the sexual and non-sexual footage. The lighting in the movie is excellent as well, especially in scenes like when the three are watching television, and the look that they are watching television is truly conveyed on the screen. The locations used are excellent as well, especially the bar location, which helps with the feel of the overall movie.

Another aspect of The Wrong Sister that makes the movie so enjoyable is the music in the movie. The music used for the different scenes fits the movie incredibly well. Kristen Scott's directorial debut is a home run.

The Wrong Sister is presented with an English MPEG Stereo audio track. The movie's sound is excellent. The dialog is clear and easy to understand, and the music in the movie sounds great. There aren't any noticeable defects with the sound either.
