Work Hard to Get Hard calls itself The Real Workout. I am not sure if the 90-minute film is a workout but it makes a good effort. The video is produced in Brazil meaning what little conversation we hear is not English. Initially I scanned this video before watching it completely for the review and at first I thought this would be a scorcher given the hot performers, but as I got into it, the camera work sort of diluted its heat factor. The 4 scenes all take place inside a gym with all the weight equipment and benches for props. Unfortunately there are no opening credits or closing credits to identify the performers so you are left not knowing who is who.

In the opening scene two guys are doing curls in the gym. They both look very similar being smaller tighter athletic frames. One is wearing a green tank and the other is in a white tank so I will call them Green and White since I don’t know whom either is. They come together and start kissing and removing clothes. Green starts first in giving White’s chest a sensuous worshiping licking and sucking the pecs and nipples. White returns by doing the same. So many studios are reluctant to show much of the video time on the chest area but this one spends more time on that and the scene is hot. Green licks every inch of the pecs and sucking the nipples hard. Green works his way down White’s body to suck his thick cock. He does a great job of taking the entire dick in his mouth. They move to some doggy style fucking with White serving up the top man duties. They go back and forth with the doggy style and missionary style fucking and the camera does a lot of close-ups, which isn’t so hot given that these two don’t exactly groom that area down there getting the camera’s attention. There isn’t any background music and these two do a lot of breathing and moaning. I have to wonder if its real or edited in since its nonstop. They also must use some type of cream instead of lube since there is like a white film around the hole and it kind of looks nasty. Green is the first to shoot his load even while being fucked. The second scene opens in this gym that looks barbaric by US standards. One hot muscular guy is on a bench working with a couple of dumbbells. I learn from the trailers of other videos his name is Rock. Another hot guy is using a cable machine. He is also muscular but does not possess the great physique Rock has. I will call him Tight for his tight muscled body. The two are also both wearing sunglasses that they never remove. Rock comes over to Tight and in short order Tight is all over Rock’s thick pecs and nipples licking and sucking them. They skip all the kissing and making out. Rock really shows no feeling toward Tight and the lack of kissing is making me think gay for pay here. The constant camera work up close instead of giving us much in the way of panned out full body shots is also making me think the cameraman is also more accustomed to filming straight porn than gay porn. The only good thing the cameraman gives us in this way is the sort of camera worship over Rock’s incredible physique. Once they finish fucking Rock pulls out his dick and cums over Tight’s back. Tight never delivers a cum shot.

In the third scene, we see all the performers working out in the gym. Its odd to see muscle studs lifting minimal weights. All but two disappear. One is a guy wearing a baseball cap and working out at the leg press machine. The other is wearing a bandana and doing crunches. I will call them Cap and Ban. They are not exactly the hottest pair in this video. Cap is already shirtless and comes over to Ban. They do some heavy kissing and making out and off comes Ban’s shirt. Ban gives Cap’s chest some serious attention sucking on his nipples. He heads on down to rub his face into Cap’s crotch for a while before he pulls out Cap’s dick to suck. We are in the third scene and even with all the equipment, little imagination is used for props, but then again if the camera is going to stay within a couple of feet of the bottom’s ass how much imagination is necessary. For the final scene two well-built guys are at a punching bag. These two are also wearing sunglasses. They take off their boxing gloves and begin kissing. Since I don’t know their names I will call them Beef and Slim since one is beefier and the other has a more athletic build. Slim is dressed and Beef is wearing only a pair of tight red shorts that don’t stay on too long. After the kissing the two undress and do some mutual cock stroking. Once Slim’s shirt is off Beef is all over his chest sucking his nipples. After some more making out Beef kneels down in front of Slim to suck on him. Part of the hotness in a video is watching the men’s faces and we miss that with their wearing the sunglasses. Beef stands and Slim does some brief cock sucking. This is the only scene where both guys suck dick. Its not a great blowjob, but he makes the effort. They lay down on the floor facing each other and Beef takes Slim’s dick up his ass. It’s nice to see the big guy as the bottom for a change. Its hot watching Beef on top getting his muscle ass fucked. Someone must have said something to the cameraman as we are now getting more panned out full body shots. This is not a good move on the director’s part as Beef is not exactly a ripped muscleman and this is not flattering for his belly. They stay in this fuck position for 9 minutes, which is way too long for the same position. They move to some sidesaddle fucking. With the exception of some pec grabbing and nipple sucking that Slim did to Beef, there is really little sensuous interaction between these two during the fuck session. Beef lays back while Slim kneels over him both stroking for the cum shot. Slim sprays Beef’s chest and stomach with a big load. Beef is still stroking as the video ends so I have no idea if he shot or not—pitiful editing there.

There isn’t a menu so the extras are at the end of the video and consist of trailers from numerous videos from US Male’s Brazil line. They are only accessible via the remote’s title feature. The chapter and time section did not work. After about 10 of them, I quick watching.

I started out really looking forward to this video thinking it may be a 5 star winner, but once I got going, I had to downgrade it. The camera work for the first three scenes was not good focusing over half of the scenes with the camera no more than 3-4 feet from the guys. I like to see a good balance of full body panned out shots along with close-ups and this one missed the boat. Whereas most studios mix their uglier guys with the hotter guys so that each scene has a hot guy, this one mixed the hottest guys together, the least hottest together and the in between together. That was a bold, but great, move. I wished the guys in the two scenes wearing the sunglasses would not have done so and I am puzzled the directors allowed this to happen. Even with the downsides, I still liked the video. The guys had nice bodies on them and did something you rarely see in videos and that is show attention to the upper bodies. I always find it a shame that studios hire muscular guys and the scene partners totally ignore the muscle. These guys showed attention to the muscle and I applaud them for this. The body worship time kicked up the sex factor and overall rating here. This isn’t a rental unit. It’s one for the library.
