The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty average. The audio varies throughout the movie. Some areas are very clear and well balanced, while in others the audio seems quiet with what should be a few minor background noises taking charge of the audio. The video is pretty good. The action is all very nicely lit and there wasn’t any camera motion that interfered with the action for me. That isn’t to say that there weren’t any problems, as there were a couple areas where there seemed to be some very minor soft focus problems as well as a softer look that just didn’t work so well for me. Tall Goddess has a very precise look to much of the sets and costumes, and the softer look to some of the video just didn’t seem right to me.

Music: The music comes and goes throughout the movie. It’s normally pretty well balanced, but there are a few places where it covers up the audio from the performers.

Menus: The main menu isn’t too bad, and blends a bit of the cover with some tasteful animation. The chapter menu is pretty basic, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature

This is a very good way to start out the movie.

Scene 2 - Penny Flame, Daisy, and Jerry

Scene 3 - Kaiya Lynn and Franco Del Torro

There were many inconsistencies, such as Kaiya holding Franco’s tie in the distant shot while the tie flies free in the closeup. I also thought the “Give me more” could have been done a little more rather than dropping out in the middle of the scene. Finally, I would have liked a little more fem-dom after the pop. With the “women in control” focus of the series, Franco popping on Kaiya’s tits rather than just on his own stomach seems like a perfect setup for her to have him lick her clean as punishment. All that said, this is a hot scene that worked quite well for me.

Scene 4 - Charmane Star and Kris Knight

Scene 5 - Ice La Fox, Cherokee, and Franco Del Torro

Ice and Cherokee start things out dressed in white and red sitting on a red couch talking about Cherokee’s upcoming date with Franco and her hopes for him in bed. Ice seems to steal the scene a little, but Cherokee stays involved enough that it’s never much of a steal and if somebody’s a heavy Cherokee fan they should be able to stay nicely into the scene rather than feeling disappointed by it. Ice, Cherokee, and Franco finish out this installment of Women on Top of Men with great style.

Women on Top of Men 2 is a worthy sequel to its predecessor. Once again it has a very nice style, with Tall Goddess’s eye for beauty showing some nice skill throughout the movie. Every girl looks fantastic, and she ranges from complex sexy outfits to outfits as simple as a coat covering up a matched bra and panty set. The action starts out pretty strong with Marie Luv, and surprisingly it never lets up. If anything, Marie might be the weakest scene in the movie (which I hate to say because it’s still a scene that’s well above average). As for a favorite scene in the movie, there I’d have a lot of trouble. I really enjoyed the final three scenes in the movie, and every one of them worked very well for me despite having some very minor faults. Those minor faults creep in throughout the movie with things like editing that doesn’t quite match from angle to angle and some varying audio. The positions also seemed a little limited, mostly due to the girls almost always starting things out in one of the cowgirls. They’re things that often show up with a younger director like Tall Goddess, and thankfully things that most seem to be able to work past.

Perhaps my biggest complaint is the level of female domination in the movie. After watching the original Women on Top of Men, I checked out one of Tall Goddess’s earlier movies, Cocktease Photographers. It showed a fantastic grasp of female domination, well enough that I’d strongly suggest anybody who’s a femdom fan to pick up. That level of female domination never really appears here, which I think is too bad. The female domination aspect is very light throughout the movie, and although heavy femdom stuff is often relegated to the fetish market, I think it could easily wiggle its way into here much better. People who pick this release up are probably going to be looking for a little more female domination, and varying it a little more than it was here seems like something that should work very well. Women on Top of Men 2 has a few faults, but there’s enough that’s done right to help most of the scenes work well past them and succeed very well.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery is broken down by scene, and gives you about ten seconds per very nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. Amazingly, almost every scene gets around six minutes per gallery, with the last scene getting about four minutes for its gallery. If that’s not enough, there’s also a three and a half minute behind the scenes photo gallery so you can see just how much of a tall goddess Tall Goddess really is. Trailers are included for Women on Top of Men, as well as Women on Top of Men 2 and Women on Top of Men 3. There’s also credits, contact information, and a behind the scenes featurette.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts twenty four minutes. Things start out with Marie Luv and James, and show some of the fun they had with Marie’s lashes as well as a few outtakes and Tall Goddess working with them. Charmane and Kris are next as Daniel tries to set up the right angle before Henri Pachard and Kirk James talk about porn. Tall Goddess finally gets in front of the camera (which is always a good thing) to work with Charmane and Kris in setting up the scene after the camera gets a quick chat with Charmane. Tall Goddess chats with Kaiya next to help set up her scene before Penny gives a fun little intro to her scene as she has a smoke outside. Things move inside as they set up the scene with Jerry and deal with Penny getting suck to the set. Cherokee is next, who talks about herself and the scene before Ice poses for a few stills and they shoot the scene. Of course, there’s also a bit of shooting the scene between Franco, Ice, and Cherokee. It’s a pretty good behind the scenes featurette that leaves no doubt as to whether or not Tall Goddess is really the woman on top of this movie. It covers quite a bit of ground and you get to see both some of the personality of the girls as well as the making of the movie. It’s biggest fault might be that it seems like it tries to cover a bit too much ground, as it really flashes through a few of the shots, but it does give a good view at the making of the movie. The only thing that I’d really change would be to throw in a few interviews with the cast. This is a nice extra.

Currently, Venus Girls DVDs can be found online for between about $16 and over $30, with a few stores offering them at the lower end. At the low end, this one’s a decent buy if you want a movie with women in control of the action. There’s some very nice care put into the outfits and some nice chemistry throughout the movie. The extras show some good care as well, although the technical aspects are pretty average. This is a pretty good DVD.
