Women in Trouble is an enigma; the film came out in the later 80s when shot on film adult movies were waning into the twilight and shot on video movies were the king of the roost. Women in Trouble is a sequel, to what is quite possibly the worst adult film ever made, KGA: Kidnapped Girls' Agency. Despite all of this, Women in Trouble was actually shot on film. Sadly, though, it is no better than KGA: Kidnapped Girls' Agency.

In Women in Trouble, Miss. Wilder (Kari Foxx), a feminist terrorist, is seeking to destroy pornography. Miss. Wilder is kidnapping adult film actresses when they attend her fake adult film auditions to de-brainwash the actresses and get the actresses to denounce pornography. Enter Andy Baltimore (Ric Meyers) and Tracey Tailor (Michelle Bauer) of the Kidnapped Girls Agency. Baltimore starts a fake porn studio to catch Miss. Wilder.

If the plot sounds bad, that is because it is. The plot is basically nonsensical filled with horrible jokes that just don't work. To make matters worse, the film has no real ending. It just kind of stops with no real conclusion at a point. I don't know if that was because Geoffrey Merrick had plans for a KGA: Kidnapped Girls' Agency 3, that HOM, Inc. wisely optioned not to fund or if that was where all of the ideas for this one ran out. Either way, the end is completely unsatisfying. There is a lack of continuity with KGA: Kidnapped Girls' Agency and Women in Trouble. In this entry, Tracey Tailor is now psychic and receives the Kidnapped Girls Agency cases through her psychic powers.

The acting is a mixed bag. Michelle Bauer does a good job with the unsatisfying material and limited time that is given to her. Ric Meyers, on the other hand, doesn't appear to have any ability to act at all. How he managed to get, and keep, the part of Andy Baltimore in two of these films is beyond me. Kari Foxx spends most of the film repeating the same line over and over again ad nauseam until the viewer is ready to take her out themselves. The three adult actresses aren't given any material to work with.

As far as the bondage scenes go, they aren't worth watching. Most of the scenes just consist of girls struggling, for long periods of time, while tied up. And when I say long periods of time, I mean painfully long periods of time. There is a dildo drill that is introduced during the film but then it disappears never to actually be used, even once.

Technically, Women in Trouble is a mess. Much of the film is shot with painfully long stationary single camera shots. There is a lack of editing. And most of the sets look like cluttered prop warehouses, some which are reused from KGA: Kidnapped Girls' Agency. The special effects are, well, horrible.

Overall, KGA: Kidnapped Girls' Agency is one of the worst adult films ever committed to celluloid. Women in Trouble does nothing to change the series, challenging the original film as to which one is worse. Obviously, I am unable to recommend this film to anyone.

The version of Women in Trouble screened is the streaming version at HotMovies. Women in Trouble was shot on film and is presented in the academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1. Women in Trouble appears to have had a film print used for the master for the VOD release from HOM, Inc. The image contains print damage, artifacts, and grain. It looked as if the bitrate was too low in places but that could have been the internet connection. Colors are washed out but not horrible. Overall, the image isn't horrible but could have been better.

Women in Trouble is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo audio track. The audio for the film isn't bad. There is a hiss present throughout the film and there are some pops and crackles in places. The dialog is clear and can be understood at all times.

Women in Trouble is the sequel to the absolutely horrendous KGA: Kidnapped Girls' Agency. Instead of trying to be better than the original catastrophe of an adult bondage film Women in Trouble seems to actually try to be just as bad. Poor bondage scenes, a nonsensical story, and poor production values make this an easy film to completely skip. HOM, Inc. has done an acceptable job with their VOD release of Women in Trouble with acceptable image and audio quality.
