Who's The Bitch Now (Girlsway) Review

Part one of ‘Who’s The Bitch Now ‘ opens with Reena Sky lounging in her bath when she receives a text that apparently upsets her. She gets out and is sitting on the couch in a blue robe. We hear internal narration and learn that It’s Reena’s anniversary and she just knows that her hubby is out cheating on her with her secretary.

Reena wants revenge and she gets a visit from her stunning new neighbor Chanell just in time, as if an answer to her dilemma has just come knocking. We see Chanel set up her cell phone and press record before inviting Chanell in.

Chanell is carrying cinnamon rolls and sets them aside when they start chatting . Chanell asks about Reena’s situation and Reena lies. Pulling off her ring stealthily, she says that she is single and she listens to Chanell talk about how she seems to have given up her own career to be a housewife. Reena says that she actually prefers women and claims she was in an affair with the woman who used to live in Chanell’s house.

Chanell is confused by this because she thought that lady was married. Reena says that she most definitely was , but that an affair is a modern thing , and you haven’t lived until you’ve tried it - most women she says , are left unsatisfied by their husbands. Reena asks is Chanell has ever been with a woman, and she says no. Reena takes this as a cue to kiss her.

Chanell likes it but thinks maybe she should leave. Reena presses on kissing her lips harder and adding that the good doctor is probably sleeping with nurses anyway. This first half is just a minute under half an hour and got rocking pretty quickly. It’s no secret that I prefer things on beds to couches but I would say that in general the factors that often hurt couch scenes were somewhat mitigated here.

I give credit to the choice to stick with positions longer than normal ; we only got one position of cunnilingus by each star on the other - but because those eating examples were held they had lots of good solid contact shots in them. I particularly liked the faceride Chanell gave to Reena. This is a clear case where less varied position changes actually equaled higher quality camerawork.

I would mention again that the zooms were maybe a bit to much during the muff to muff grind. Some more panned out views might have helped this.

The story so far has been a quick and simple one - but I am quite happy that this encounter isn’t over. I’ve always loved Reena Sky and held that she is an under appreciated talent. She put in my favorite performance in the GW feature MISSING and always brings a ton of energy I can’t quite figure why she isn’t talked up a whole lot more. I’m gonna have to start requesting her more again.

Chanell Heart is one of the few black models that has ever appeared in Girlsway more than a time or two - I believe that this was shot before her hiatus , but Chanell has since returned to shooting although I don’t know if she’s been back on GW in that time. She’s certainly gorgeous and the faceride she gave Reena showed that she isn’t shy about getting full contact licks on a lady. I think it would be great to see her return soon with someone like GOTM for May , Kendra Spade. I’ll leave more wrap up till after part two.

Part two of ‘ Who’s The Bitch Now ‘ picks up with the girls walking up the stairs to the master bedroom still naked from their sex on the couch. Reena kisses Chanell and sucks a tit. I quite enjoyed everything here ; though the second part was noticeably short. It adds on 22 minutes so that the total running for the two parts just eclipsed 50 minutes total.

Once more it’s a good teaching moment in directing as an argument for quality over quantity in the low number of position changes still yielding great looks at the most important action.

The aggressive attitude displayed by Reena showcases just what I mentioned about her energetic style. She goes for it at high speed and a genuine friskiness that always works for me.

I realize that the story might be rushed for some folks who want to draw out the coercion line a little more; personally since I don’t usually gravitate to too much of that dynamic I enjoyed that Chanell played it as eager rather than afraid or super reluctant. It does deserve mention though , since I know many fans yearn for the slow push to the edge before the sex. If I were to judge this scene by just one part of the two I would definitely say it needed to be longer. However when taken as a whole 51 minute package I love it.

We saw some camera choices that were a little different ( watching the spit fall from Reena’s mouth to Chanell’s tongue as she had her head between her legs ). In story Reena was supposed to be the one running the action so I actually appreciate what otherwise might seem an imbalance of who gave and who received. Reena was the one with the need and so she really kind’ve topped Chanell. It’s as much of a domme / sub relationship that you’ll likely get on Girlsway proper too.

After watching this I am very convinced yet again that Reena should get more g/g work. She’s a can’t miss talent when she’s playing in control or when she’s a little crazed ( see aforementioned MISSING scene ). It does feel like Chanell’s scenes are too often shorter than I want them to be - but I really miss seeing her too. Here’s to hoping that that is rectified sooner rather than later.

Another quick note - if you have the time ( or alternatively , the stamina ) to watch these two parts back to back its really the best way to view them and get the full appreciation of the wonderful pairing. I’ve always said I’m a story nerd and a sucker for multi part matchups. Girlsway shoots less of these for some reason , although I wish we saw it a lot more. There’s just something about being able to carry over a character and her motivations that opens up a lot more in the realm of possibility for that second half. I know that many days directors shoot two scenes with lunch in between. Perhaps I’m in the minority here , but I would like it if we saw a lot of these two part scenes.

The Stunt Double - Phoenix Marie , Mia Malkova & Jessa Rhodes

‘ The Stunt Double ‘ starts with Mia doing yoga when a prowler is outside her house. He eases his way up to the door , enters and attacks saying something about El Chapo. When Mia turns to run the baddie grabs for her , ripping off her top. As he corners Mia we hear Phoenix call for the stunt double and Jessa enters. Phoenix says that Jessa needs her top off for the scene and they continue the scene. Jessa has to dive on the bed with her attacker to get the stunt cut.

But when Phoenix gets her shot and is ready for another major scene she yells for Ricardo - who is apparently meant to play Mia’s rescuer in the climax she learns that he isn’t on set yet. Worse , when she calls him he doesn’t have the answers she wants to hear. He says that he will still be an hour and she decides he’s out. On the fly Phoenix calls an audible and asks if Jessa wants to get a full actor fee and stand in for the part meant for Ricardo. Jessa is fine with making more money so she agrees.

We reset the attack scene and now Jessa charges into the front door where she punches Mia’s assailant in the face. The damsel in distress is grateful and kisses her savior. There are lots of little kisses but the director demands more passion. Jessa tries to explain that she’s not actually a lesbian but Phoenix doesn’t care - she’s in a role , and further berates her for breaking character with cameras rolling.

Phoenix tells the girls to continue and she wants to see more tongue. They aren’t satisfying her expectation so she moves them over to the stairway and has Jessa lose her shirt. She tells her to show how much she wants the job and their hands wander. Phoenix is finally starting to like what she’s seeing and she’s right up on them telling them to lick and suck tits.

I love Mia , and have great esteem for Phoenix Marie in particular - but I do feel that the concept and location of this shoot was more of an experiment done to see if they could successfully do a scene on stairs. And sure , while you can , it presents some technical difficulties that mean camera angles and sex positions aren’t held very long. This isn’t as much something I put on the girls - because it frankly looks uncomfortable. The stairs wrap around a little in a bit of a curve and and that maybe made the some shots better than they would otherwise come off.

Still, there was a mattress shown earlier in the scene when Jessa was to be struggling with the cartel member and that only makes a fan like me that much more frustrated. Novelty is cool and all, and I won’t totally begrudge a great studio like GW trying things - but is it worth the sacrifice you make in the way general comfort ? I personally think it’s probably not. I don’t think they ever insisted on a staircase scene after so I’m guessing the production crew agreed with that assessment. I’m also happy that I’ll get to review a more conventional encounter with Jessa and Phoenix to finish the dvd too because they deserve some analysis that Isn’t so disadvantaged by setting circumstances.

‘ The Prizefighter’ opens with PI Phoenix Marie coming to visit Jessa. I would say that nearly all the individual segments would be improved by just a few more minutes allowed for them. I’ll never be that high I toy use , but it did result in at least one good looking orgasm.

The story was one that I enjoyed more for its campiness though I don’t really know why it was called ‘ The Prizefighter ‘ The guy in question is not presented as a prize in any real way even if he is why they got into a scuffle. I do like the idea of Jessa inviting her rival to stay the weekend and maybe get intentionally busted when her cheating husband returns from his time away.

I gather that this and ‘ The Stunt Double ‘ were shot on the same day and that probably got a lot to do with why both were noticeably short and leaves me with less to say.

Final Thoughts and Suggestions:

This DVD provides an interesting example for how I think things could generally be improved when you shoot two scenes in one day. I believe that both parts of ‘ Whose The Bitch Now ‘ were shot in one day. The same is almost certainly true of ‘ The Stunt Double ‘ and ‘ The Prizefighter’. Yet I think of the title scene as much more of a success. My scoring of course reflects this view and I may be the only reviewer who consciously combines scores from deliberate two part scenarios - but I know that many in the GW community voice the same thought , that more story and character development is a major thing that sets the studio apart, so I think it’s fair to raise the point. Furthermore I believe that the character dynamics that Phoenix and Jessa displayed were much the same in their two scenes , so that it would have been perfectly natural for ‘ The Stunt Double ‘ story where the demanding director convinces her star to fuck to have rolled right into a second scene later that night where Jessa was out to prove her commitment with one on one time. So in conclusion I would say that if Logistics like time and budget call for two shorter scenes in the same shoot day , I would almost always encourage the two part scenario as opposed to two separate quickies.
