Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is a virtual reality all sex POV vignette short film from writer Max Acer and director Stoney Curtis. Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward features 3D 180° sex that is set in a 360° CGI world. Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is an adult take on the Warcraft franchise, which for those of you who have been living under a rock is an immensely popular video game series. Movie versions, whether they are mainstream or adult, of video games are hard to do. One is taking a property that is designed to be played and interacted with and turning it into a movie intended to be watched without interaction. The major trick is that one must retain enough of the feeling of the video game in the movie to please fans of the video game, but also make the movie so that viewers who haven't played the video game will find enough of interest to enjoy the movie as well.

Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is a “campaign” in Celestial Productions' much larger Whorecraft VR (WhorecraftVR.com) world. Whorecraft VR is a live action and CGI combination adult spoof of Blizzard Entertainment's long-running Warcraft video game series that started as a real-time strategy game in 1994 and became a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) in 2004 and has become one of the highest-grossing video games. Whorecraft VR, helmed by Stoney Curtis, spent 16 months in development before its release to the public in June of 2018. Whorecraft VR, believed to be the first series of its kind, offers the viewer vignette-style all sex virtual reality cosplay “campaigns” throughout the Whorecraft VR world with live actors and actresses set in a CGI world.

The set-up for Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is in the land of Whoredaron, you (with Jerry as your stand-in) are a warrior and have returned from battle a hero to Stonewind Keep. You are ready to collect your reward for your prowess and vigor in battle, and the lovely Jaina Proudwhore (Blair Williams) offers you the ultimate prize for your service, herself.

The design of the short film is that a narrator (Elena Koshka) tells you about the battle you have fought with CGI video game looking graphics of the highlights then going across Whoredaron to Stonewind Keep as the opening. The rest of the short film takes place in Stonewind Keep with live action actors imposed on moving CGI background world.

Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is shot POV-style with you watching Jaina Proudwhore as she seduces and then has sex with you. Since the short film is shot in VR, the view isn't fixed on where the director decided you would look and you the viewer can move your head just as if you were there. For the sex, Jerry fills in for you. The live action sex scene was shot in 3D POV format with a 180° span. The live action sex scene was then added to an animated CGI 380° world, which means that the CGI setting is dynamic, not static, which adds to the feel of the theme and helps make it look like it is taking place in a video game.

The costuming in the short film is excellent. It looks good, as in it doesn't look cheap, and it fits the thematic feel of the short film. For the most part, the live action material is blended well with the background CGI to make what honestly looks like a Warcraft adult spoof and not just a cheap attempt at a Warcraft adult spoof.

Blair Williams is stunning in the role of Jaina Proudwhore, which is good since she carries the entire short film. She starts out slowly stripping and seducing the camera before going into the sex scene. Jerry isn't as great in his role of you in the beginning of the scene as he tends to lay still like a dead fish instead of heavily interacting with Blair Williams. Jerry gets better at interacting with Blair Williams as the scene progresses. Blair Williams saves the sex scene though as her sexual energy and sultry performance melts right through the camera.

Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is not without its errors. The two biggest obvious ones are that for a portion of the scene you (Jerry) have a soft drink cup next to you and when Jaina Proudwhore discards her armor it disappears from the visible spectrum completely. None of these are a scene wrecker or at least shouldn't be a scene wrecker given Blair Williams' sexual heat from her performance.

This reviewer is easier on VR movies because VR is still a fledgling format in the adult industry and as directors and the camera people delve into the format they need time to experiment and see what works and what doesn't. While yes, it would be nice if every release was polished and perfect, however, VR is a very different shooting environment that requires thinking in an entirely new way when working in it and directors and camera people need to be given the necessary time. Besides, what Stoney Curtis is doing with the Whorecraft VR series is wholly new and requires additional experimentation and play time with the format to perfect.

As long as the viewer is willing to overlook the few errors within the short film, Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is a rewarding piece. Blair Williams melts the screen in her role as Jaina Proudwhore and Stoney Curtis has done an excellent job with the short film design bringing the live action into a CGI environment. Stoney Curtis has made the right decision in making Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward as a VR title since that keeps some of the interactivity of the game, in that the viewer can direct how their character looks which makes the short film feel more like a video game. Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is definitely recommended.

The quality of the video is excellent. The fusion of the two parts of the material isn't 100 percent perfect; however, it is rather darn close. The CGI looks great, and the live action footage looks flawless as well. The 3D looks excellent and realistic when the appropriate files are viewed through the suitable devices. The colors are bright and vibrant.

The available audio for Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward is an English Stereo track. The audio sounds nice, and the dialog in the short film is clear and easy to understand at all times.

Lethal Hardcore and Adult DVD Empire have included several extras for their release of Whorecraft VR: Jaina's Reward. There is a flat, non-VR, high-definition 720p, anamorphic widescreen 1.78:1 streaming-only version of the scene that runs for 37 minutes. There is a photo gallery, and there are desktop and mobile wallpaper for the scene.
