The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are a bit of a mixed bag. The audio level varies quite a bit through the feature, with the setups being especially quiet. I found myself adjusting the volume pretty regularly through the movie, and it definitely interfered with my enjoyment of it. There were also several places where you could hear the cast being given directions from off camera. Thankfully the video is much better. There’s a little minor grain, but it’s nicely even throughout the movie along with the lighting.

Music: There’s music during the setup portion of each scene, but that’s it.

Menus: The menus are very nicely done. The main menu has some nice animation to give a good first impression, and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on the name of the girl in each scene and a small clip of the scene. Once you select a girl you can choose what part of the scene you want to watch on a secondary menu.

The Feature

If you can’t figure out what White Wife Black Cock is about, I’m guessing you fight to get the front seat on the short bus. Each scene has a fun lead-in which occasionally plays with some of the racial stereotypes.

Scene 1 - Tianna Lynn and John E. Depth

Before John comes over, Tiana’s hubby Scott Long notices that she’s been into rap music lately, checking out black porn, and has a new sexy outfit. This is a pretty good scene. Tiana and John seem to be into each other pretty good, and put some nice energy into the scene. The camera work holds things back a little as it focuses on close-ups a bit more than I like, but it does mix in a fair amount of shots. This is a nice scene to start things out with.

Scene 2 - Phyllisha Anne, Wesley Pipes, and Cuntree

When their car breaks down, Phyllisha and her husband end up needing a jump. Her husband leaves Phyllisha with the car, who’s found by Welsey and Cuntree who are more than willing to jump her. Phyllisha isn’t the best looking girl around, but she makes the scene work despite that due to some nice chemistry and energy. She even helps it past some of the camera limitations which held the scene back slightly.

Scene 3 - Nadia Dreams and Mr. Marcus

When her hubby runs to the liquor store, Nadia gets it on with their guest Mr. Marcus. They quickly work Marcus’ cock out and into Nadia’s mouth before fucking standing up. I’ll admit that there were some views I didn’t want to see here, and that was mostly the penetration as it looked like there was a line of blood along one side of Nadia’s pussy. This scene is okay at its best points, and I’m not really sure if it even had a lot of potential. All credit for the scene making it as far as it does goes to Mr. Marcus, simply because he looks like he’s having fun more often then Nadia does.

Scene 4 - Chloe, Wesley Pipes, and Cuntree

Scene 5 - Papillion and Hugh G. Rection

While her man watches the game at a friend’s house, Papillon heads into the bedroom to get it on with Hugh. If this was the first or second scene of the movie I doubt I would have had a problem, but here I was bored going into the scene. Although Papillon and Hugh did a good job, it wasn’t enough to really get me into it, which is too bad since there’s finally some decent camera work here.

White Wife Black Cock is a decent idea that doesn’t make it much past the average mark. It has a few things going for it, such as nice chemistry and a fun feeling to the setups, but there isn’t much to help it beyond that. The girls are very average looking, and the camera work lacks in every scene. It’s rare to see both the penetration and the girl’s face, and in some scenes it’s like the camera doesn’t really want to show either. There’s enough problems that seemed like they could be cured by a slight change of angle that I couldn’t help but wonder if the camera man had ever shot porn before during several of the scenes. White Wife Black Cock isn’t the best start to the series, and thankfully it gets better from here.

Currently, many Smash DVDs can be found online for between $14 and $24 with most stores offering them in the $20 range. Rent this one first. The camera work holds back the sex, and the audio leaves a bit to be desired. The video and extras are pretty well done, but there’s enough problems here that I really don’t know how much replay value this one will have.

Note to Smash Pictures: It’s nice to see you improving this series over time. If I started watching the series with this one, I don’t think I’d expect it to have improved as much as it did.
