Initial Expectations: Adam & Eve has been pretty hit or miss lately, so I’m not quite sure what to expect. Since they went to the effort to make this a 2 DVD set, I’m hoping they put enough care into it to make this a hit.

Initial Reaction: It’s a very good couples feature and a very well done DVD.

Who Should Watch It : Couples who want sex with feeling but not boring

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody looking for something extremely artistic or on the nastier side

Audio /Video Quality: Adam & Eve have dedicated the first DVD in this two DVD set to the movie alone in order to give it the best quality possible, and it seems to have paid off. The audio is very clear and well balanced without any sign of background noises. There is a little bit of dubbing, but there isn’t much of it and it’s only fairly noticeable. The video is high definition anamorphic widescreen, and looks very clear right out to the edges. The lighting feels very realistic and is very even.

Music: Once again Saint provides the music for Nicholas Steele’s feature. It’s his normal new age style feel, and it really helps the movie out, which is also very normal for Saint’s music. It’s well balanced, soft, and romantic all the while standing out from 99% of the other porn music out there (and in the good way). There’s also some nice western fiddling that helps with the mood of the non-sex scenes. Combined it shows why Saint is one of the best people out there putting together music for adult films.

Menus: The menus are nicely animated. The main menu is simple, but has a classy and romantic feel to it. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene and a scene number, and also give you the option of jumping directly to the scene’s pop shot.

The Feature: Nicholas Steele goes out west to horse country for his latest feature. Evan Stone, who’s been badly hurt by a woman in the past, is looking to sell thoroughbred Wild Whisper. Horses are his love, and he won’t sell her to just anybody. Star E. Knight, full of big city attitude, is interested in his horse, but Evan’s not quite sure she’s the right person for his prize.

Star E. Knight starts things out with Ian Daniels after he gets home wore out from a long day. They lovingly kiss, caress, and undress each other before giving each other a nice oral warmup. They continue through missionary, reverse cowgirl, and doggie before Ian plants plenty of spunk stars on Star’s heavenly ass. It’s a hot scene that has a very nice romantic feel. It starts out soft and gently, and gradually picks up in energy and intensity.

After hinting to her about the need for a little action, Joel Lawrence drops down to tongue Kylie’s twat. He’s rewarded with one of Kylie’s amazing blowjobs before she let shim fuck her from behind. As they kiss and caress they’re found by Dillion Day, who joins in the oral love-fest. Phoenix also takes her turn missionary style, but doesn’t give anything back while receiving. The girls share a decent facial to end the scene, which I think might have been the best part of the scene. I’m not sure why, but this scene just didn’t do much for me. There’s some decent chemistry and average enthusiasm. Perhaps it’s that Phoenix had a slightly standoffish feeling to her by not getting into the action other than with a little oral until almost the end of the scene.

Evan Stone flashes back to the love he and Dee shared in a bar after he proposed to her in front of a glowing Stroh’s neon sign, which I think is at least in the top 300 romantic places for any woman. Evan warms up both of Dee’s holes with his tongue before she gives him some great oral attention in return. They move on with a few different standing positions before Dee takes Evan’s guy goo on her face and tits. It’s a very good scene that has some great chemistry and energy.

Nina Ferrari breaks away from the barn dance with Julian and Colt Steele to try out some different moves. She lets Colt tongue her twat while she sucks Julian’s shaft, which gives a nice view of that hilarious tattoo of Julian’s ex-wife Jill Kelly on his stomach. She moves on to ride Julian reverse cowgirl style while sucking on Colt, and then turns around so Colt can fuck her while she sucks on Julian. Nina takes both pops very enthusiastic on her tits, and turns this from an average scene into a borderline hot scene just by her enthusiasm throughout the scene.

Finally, Evan Stone and Star E. Knight hook up, just as you knew they would from the start. They exchange some nice oral favors out in the horse trailer before Star hops on to show Evan what she’s learned about riding reverse cowgirl style. They continue through a bit of missionary and doggie before Star takes a decent facial. It’s another very good scene with great chemistry. Star shows a lot of potential here, and I hope she stays in the business for a while since I think she’s going to have a lot to offer.

Whispering Hearts is a great couples movie. It has a nicely romantic feel through the movie, both in the plot and the sex. As he has done in his features such as Emerald Rain, Caribbean Undercover, and Sex Island , Nicholas Steele has worked the beauty of the location into the movie as much as possible, which helps to give it a very couples friendly feel. He also seems to be growing much more comfortable and used to the widescreen format, which is put to much better use here than in some of his other features. The sex is well done, with some very nice chemistry and energy. Star can be a little too vocal at times, but still appears to be very into her scenes. She turns out two very good ones, which are met with two other well done performances by Kylie Ireland and Dee. The plot is pretty average, and for a movie about two people kind of falling in love and working through a fairly big disagreement, barely gives any development to either of the main characters. You know Evan’s been hurt, but you never see anything about it. Star comes off as a major bitch in the beginning, but is soft and gentle by her last scene. You see them fight at the start, meet maybe twice in between, and then deal on the horse and fuck at the end. Another ten minutes of explaining things and making them flow would have made the difference between being a pretty good couples feature and a great one. Whispering Hearts is a good feature, but not quite a great one.

Extras: All of the extras are contained on the second DVD. Trailers are incldued for A Wolf’s Tail, A Devil’s Tail, Beauty & The Bitch, After Midnight, Raging Lust, and X Professionals. The photo gallery contains eighteen very nice snapshots that start out arranged in a thumbnail format. You can choose which ones you want to see blown up to near-full screen size. There’s also the Adam & Eve Sex Reel, which now nicely labels the origin of the original scenes, and website information.

Rather than use the typical bios, Adam & Eve has included interviews with Star E. Knight, Evan Stone, Joel Lawrence, Dillion Day, and Monica Mayhem. Although one of the interviews lasts about six minutes, the rest of them last well over ten minutes. The stars talk about things like how they got into the business, their first time on a porn set, where their name came from, what they plan on doing after deciding to not be in front of the camera anymore, and their hobbies. It’s a great way to do interviews and something I’m surprised more companies haven’t done. Nicholas Steele also gives a sixteen and a half minute interview. He talks about where the idea for Whispering Hearts came from and a point or two about it, horses, the casting and location, and creating the movies.

The first bonus scene comes from Raging Lust with Monica Mayhem and Jacynda, a nicely natural blonde, alongside the pool that Dale DaBone is working out by. The girls work over each others tits a little before moving the action inside, with Dale apparently being part of a National Crisis team. It’s the only thing I can think of that could tear almost any straight red blooded America boy away from watching these two beauties take care of each other. Monica gives Jacynda’s tits a little more attention before moving down under, and soon after switches places with her. They finish things up with a nice sixty-nine with both girls aggressively going after the other’s pussy. It’s a nicely done scene that has some good chemistry and camera work.

The second bonus scene comes from X Professionals and has Kristina Black, looking amazing in a red PVC outfit, getting a little action from Evan Stone on the hood of a Mercedes. The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty four minutes and is also presented in anamorphic widescreen. It’s a bit more grainy and pixelated than the feature, but still very watchable. It includes interviews Star E. Knight, Dee, Kylie Ireland, Evan Stone, Dillion Day, and Joel Lawrence. They all come across as very real people, especially Dillion Day who talks quite a bit about his personal life and being a real person rather than just the porno stereotype. There’s also plenty of Evan Stone and his hijinks, which are always very entertaining and are a must for ever behind the scenes shoot that he’s on. There are also quite a few shots of the scenes being shot, but most of the featurette concentrates on getting to know the stars. It’s a very nice featurette and well worth checking out if you’re at all interested in the stars.

Overall: Most of Adam & Eve’s Premium Collection titles can be found online for between $15 and $25 with quite a few stores offering them for under $20. Although the plot has a few faults, the sex and style easily make it worth the low end. It also has a great transfer and a lot of extras.
