The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced, but there are a few places where the little music completely overpowers the audio. The video is nicely presented in anamorphic widescreen. There's a little bit of motion in places, but the video is clear and well lit.

Music: Some of the scenes start with a little loud music during the tease, but it then disappears for the actual sex.

Menus: The main menu works together the boxcover, a clip from the movie, and the choices for a pretty average and generic first impression. The chapter menu, however, shows some very nice care and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip from each scene as well as a full cast listing for the scene.

The Feature

Whatabooty 5 focuses on girls with big butts. Each scene starts out with the girl showing it off a bit and teasing the camera before moving into some fairly average sex.

Whatabooty 5 is an above average release. At times it seems like it wants to be a butt fetish movie, but that thought never seems to make it too far beyond the opening tease in the scenes. There's a great lineup of female talent with great asses here, but the chemistry in the scenes is very hit or miss. This leaves Phoenix and Velicity's scenes hovering around the low end of average with most of the problems there being attributed to the male talent. As usual with John Strong he seems more concerned about himself than the girls, and when the guys keep jumping in and out of a scene it doesn't do much for the chemistry in it. I will say that he does a nice job with Tiffany Mynx, but the only time really strong chemistry came out was when he wasn't around. Claire Dames and Jessica Lynn both shine in their scenes and turn out the two best scenes in the movie due to the guys actually seeming like they care about the girls. If you're wanting a heavy anal sex movie or one that's all about worshiping big beautiful asses, then Whatabooty 5 might not be quite your thing. If you just want a fairly standard fuck flick with big assed girls, then it might be worth checking out.

The photo gallery lasts nearly eight and a half minutes with about seven seconds per slightly below average to pretty average looking snapshot. There's also a behind the scenes featurette and cumshot recaps.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty five minutes. Tiffany starts out talking about some of the changes in the industry as well as the little details like when she lost her virginity and her personal sexual progression. Claire is next, who poses for stills before showing off a little more after the scene and having a few words (which you can also see during the closing credits). Jessica also has a few words talking about being born with a big ass, loving oral sex, and some of her sexual experiences. Phoenix sets a few things up with John before posing for stills before Velicity finishes things up posing for her stills. This is a pretty good featurette. You get some great personality from Tiffany as well as a very nice feeling from both Jessica and Phoenix. I'll readily admit to not being a big fan of John as a performer as he seems a bit too full of himself, but the few moments he had with Phoenix here really showed some nice care and I went away with a little better impression of him because of it. This is a nice featurette that offers plenty of eye candy as well as some nice personality.

Currently, many of Red Light District's DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $25 with quite a few stores offering them for under $20. Rent this one first. Claire, Tiffany, and Jessica turn out nice scenes, but there's enough about the movie that feels so average that I'm not sure it's going to have too much replay value. The technical aspects show some nice care and there is some good care put into the extras with a nice behind the scenes featurette. This is an above average release.

Note to Red Light District: Although the casting for the ladies is great here, a little more butt fetish would be very nice for this series...
