The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty well done. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are many of the times when Pat's trying to talk with the girls that you can barely hear him. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks very nice. The picture is clear and Pat has a steady hand capturing the action. There are, however, a few lighting imbalances that hold things back slightly.

False Advertising: The cover lists Strip Tease among the features, but I couldn't find it anywhere on the DVD. I'm deducting a half point from the overall score because of this.

Menus: The main menu blends part of the boxcover with a bit of the movie for a fairly generic first impression. The chapter menu shows a bit of care, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene, a scene number, and the name of the girl in the scene.

The Feature

What Gets You Off... 4 keeps things pretty simple. Sometimes it gets right to the action with Pat keeping quiet behind the camera, and other times he starts out chatting with the girls and letting them show off.

What Gets You Off... 4 is a pretty hot fuck flick with a couple minor problems. There's no doubt that Teagan and Charley Chase start things off right with their scenes, and Julia Ann and Sunny Lane's solo scenes are also very nicely done. My problem with the movie more than anything is the organization of the movie. With the scenes in a different order I think it would have worked much better because it started off smoking hot for two scenes, dropped down to the above average level for a couple, and then finished things out with a pair of masturbation scenes. Closing the movie with the masturbation scenes really seemed to have the movie coast to the finish rather than making the scene feel like it was really driving to the end, as it would have with Charley or Teagan's scenes, and working the masturbation scenes into the middle seems like it might have made the movie feel like it had a little more variety as well by mixing things up more. What Gets You Off... 4 has plenty of heat and some very nice action that should please fans of the stars, but I couldn't help but think that putting the scenes in a little different order would have made it seem much stronger.

The Extra Stuff

The behind the scenes featurette lasts just over six minutes. Currently, many of 3rd Degree's DVDs can be found online for between about $15 and $25 with several stores offering them for under $20. The low end isn't too bad for what you get here. Teagan and Charlie definitely make it worthwhile with Sunny and Julia Ann's scenes also being very nicely done. The technical aspects are pretty good for gonzo porn, and there's a touch of effort put into the extras. This is a pretty hot movie on a DVD that shows a touch of care.

Note to 3rd Degree: It's nice to see you putting effort into your behind the scenes featurettes, but it would also be nice to see more than just one star in them.
