Initial Expectations: For some reason, I can’t get my hopes up much for this one.

Initial Reaction: There’s some pretty good sex, but most everything else in the DVD seems to be lacking.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are weak. The audio is a little muddy, and there’s a fair amount of camera noise and poorly balanced audio. There’s also a couple times where you can hear directions being given to the cast better than the cast themselves. The video is also a bit muddy. It’s lit pretty well, but the picture is comparable to an average to slightly below average VHS picture.

Music: There’s a little music early on, but it quickly disappears and is easily forgettable.

Disc Complaints: There’s no time stamp, which always gives me a bad feeling towards a DVD. From what I understand it takes virtually nothing for either time or effort to include one, and it gives the viewer the ability to jump to anywhere in the movie. I could almost understand it very early on into DVDs emergence, but now this seems like a no-brainer and the lack of it gives me the feeling that the company doesn’t care much about the consumer.

Menus: The menus are thoroughly unimpressive. Neither have any animation or motion, and the chapter menu just lets you choose a scene based on a still and chapter number for each scene.

The Feature

Wet Undies 2 goes with a pretty simple idea, guys who are turned on by girl’s wet panties. It doesn’t matter if it’s from their juices, their sweat, or their pee, some guys can’t resist giving it a sniff.

Scene 1 - Alexis Malone and Dirty Harry

This is a surprisingly hot scene that started the movie on a high note for me. It’s also by far the best scene in the movie.

Scene 2 - Haley Paige and Kris Slater

They often have a feeling of being a little lost and unsure, and the technical aspects of the scene were average enough that the little things started to jump out at me. This is a very average scene.

Scene 3 - Laurel Berry and Mr. Pete

Laurel and Mr. Pete look like they’re really into each other, but the camera doesn’t always capture it that well. This is a pretty average scene with great chemistry.

Scene 4 - Kalya Marie and Johnny Thrust

Her vocals are the worst, and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes almost every time she tried to say something. I’m sure there’s a lot of people who will really like this scene, but I’m definitely not one of them.

Wet Undies 2 is a pretty average porno. I like the setups to the scenes, and think they were nicely creative with some nice perversity to them. I also like that most of the scenes had some nice chemistry and energy. What didn’t work for me was the camera work and editing. Neither are really bad, but they just gave me the feeling of somebody who didn’t want to put too much effort into the movie because “it’s just porn”. Alexis Malone easily had the best scene in the movie with Dirty Harry, and did a fantastic job of combining a good perverted start with smoking hot sex. The other girls came off as giving a fairly consistent performance for them, but Alexis really seemed to go above and beyond the call of duty with Dirty Harry. Wet Undies 2 is a lot better way to kill and hour and a half than trying to get two year old skid marks out of your tightie whities.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many Heatwave DVDs can be found online for between about $10 and $25 with stores appearing to have them at one extreme or the other. I don’t think I’d go much over the low end here. The sex is okay, but I just don’t know how much replay value it’s going to have. There’s also not much effort put into the technical aspects or extras. This DVD hovers around the average mark.

Note to Heatwave: A little attention to the smaller details could go a very long way here.
