Brief Synopsis:
We Swallow 18 is another chapter in the Rodney Moore series, in which our starlets exclaim the title’s catchphrase after an extended period of sword throating. For fans of Rodney, this is old hat; for the uninitiated, allow me to hold your hand.
Scene One: Lauren Vaughan, Patricia Petite & Melissa Gold (with Rodney Moore)
Nearing seven foot tall Lauren (not approximate height, but close to it) towers over and is flanked by Patricia (tanned blonde with a squishy curviness) and Melissa (a pointy-nipped Latina with cul-de-sacs of her own), whom she interviews a la sportscaster for a game of badminton. How the Disc Looks & Sounds:
Delivered in full frame, the visual aspect of the disc is permeated with mostly overcast days, a few dark spots, but overall even and average. The camerawork is totally Rodney (a few POV, lots of very close close-ups, sometimes odd placement), and the audio component is rife with outdoor noise throughout (the low grade hum in Staci & Katie’s scene is almost scene-killing), though nature doesn’t stand in the way of any cumshot I could think of. I am thankful, at least, for a the few chapter stops given, as other titles in this series have suffered a worse, single-chaptered fate. One step at a time!
Overall Thoughts:
While I can’t recommend We Swallow 18 for non-Rodney heads, I can suggest that a few of these scenes are worth the effort, a rental at best. Natasha has better work available elsewhere (and longer, at that), but Crissy, Kati & Staci really are the meat and potatoes of this feature. And someone out there, please book darling Melissa Gold! But she may be banished to the one/two time performer that have been the staple of Rodney’s movies for so long, and really would have upped the ante, overall, for everyone involved. Please let there be more!
