The Short Story

Initial Expectations: It’s been quite a while since I’ve checked out one of Rodney’s movies. He sticks in my head as making some fun movies, so I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s doing here.

Initial Reaction: There’s some hot action, but it’s a little heavy on the oral scenes for my tastes.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants porn with a fun feeling that feels like it’s still somewhat grounded in reality

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting nastiness in their porn or more than one guy

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are a bit hit or miss. For the most part, the audio is very clear and well balanced, but there are a few background noises. The video is much the same. Most of the movie is clear and well lit with very few motion problems even though you can tell the movie is mostly shot hand held. There are a few places where the light gets a bit low and grain pops up. There is also quite a few motion problems during the final scene, which was easily the worst in the movie for technical aspects.

False Advertising: Francesca is listed on the cover as being in the movie, but she only appears for a two and a quarter minute trailer for We Swallow 12. This just seems completely boneheaded to me, and I’m just glad that Rodney didn’t try doing this with a big name star with a following. If I was a fan of any performer who was listed in the cast for a movie only to find out that she’s just in a trailer I’d be majorly pissed. I’m deducting a half point from the overall score because of it.

Disc Complaints: The authoring on this DVD leaves plenty to be desired. To start with, there’s no time stamp which always makes navigating a DVD harder for those who choose to do so. At least Rodney made up for this somewhat by including a shitload of chapter breaks (the first scene has just over twenty of them for a forty one minute scene). Also, each scene gets its own title, which makes navigating the movie much harder if you want to skip past a scene. Rather than just using your remote to tell your DVD player you want to go ahead something like twenty minutes, you have to skip past it scene by scene or go back through the menu. If somebody picked up a mainstream DVD like this, they’d probably make fun of how poorly it was done. There’s no reason that just because it’s an adult DVD you shouldn’t put the care into your product it deserves.

Menus: There’s only one menu, and I’m not sure if I like it or not. It nicely works together a bit of the front cover with a still of each girl and her name. You can then choose between playing the movie or going to any of the girls based on her still.

The Feature

Rodney is back with his own special feel. There are five vignettes in the movie, and each starts with a playful little setup and a bit of teasing. After going through plenty of cocksucking and maybe even a little fucking, each girl finishes things up swallowing down Rodney’s load.

This is a great opening scene, and easily my favorite in the movie. Kaylani has a fantastic body and a fun personality that immediately got my full attention. She and Rodney have great chemistry through the scene, and both throw in plenty of food related quips that helped give the scene a light and fun feeling. She puts out great energy and realistic vocals that make it clear that she really enjoys fucking, and kept it up the entire time. The scene runs over forty minutes, and it never feels like it’s dragging or getting bogged down. This is the first Rodney Moore scene I’ve watched in a very long time, and it definitely makes me feel like I’ve been missing out on something darn good.

Scene 2 - Alexis Silver and Rodney Moore

Rodney takes a seat at the Just Like Home Café to peruse the latest copy of AVN to start out Just Like Home. It’s drawn out to just over twenty minutes, but it has a nice sense of humor and some very good chemistry. Alexis does a great job playing the halfway bitchy waitress who doesn’t want to deal with Rodney too much, and she has a very nice body to show off throughout the scene. Scene 3 - Aline and Rodney Moore

We Swallow 11 is a fun fuck flick. Rodney Moore is one of those guys who seems to fly underneath the radar of a lot of people, while others follow him almost religiously. Watching this movie, it’s easy to see why on both counts. Rodney’s movies are a bit limited, and it’s often easy to tell that he’s doing all the camera work himself as well as taking on girls who are pretty obviously newbies and don’t seem to want to get nasty. There’s also a certain cheesiness to his movies along with plenty of the porn cliches that might cause many to roll their eyes. That said, there’s also a great spark to his scenes. Every scene here had some great chemistry and I never once had the inkling of a feeling that one of the girls was just in it to try to make rent. Yes there’s a bit of cheese and porn cliches, but Rodney plays into it just right and uses it to make the scene fun. With his lower budget feel the touch of cheese and cliche actually make the movie stronger rather than weakening it. For me, the thing that held We Swallow 11 back was the amount of oral sex scenes in the movie. I’m not a big fan of blowjob scenes, and with roughly half of the time in the movie and all but the first and last scenes being blowjob scenes, this one got a little long for me. Yes, they were nicely done blowjob scenes that I could get into, but they were still half the movie and three of the five scenes. If one of those scenes would have been a full on sex scene, and with the girls in this movie it really wouldn’t have mattered which one, I could have gotten into the movie much more. Heck, even alternating the scenes would have made a big difference for me even though starting off with a blowjob scene wouldn’t have been the best opening for me. Rodney Moore’s style might not be for everybody, but We Swallow 11 is a fun and nicely done porno that shows just how far chemistry and a fun feeling can take a movie. If you haven’t tried a Rodney Moore movie, this one’s definitely worth checking out.

Currently, many of Rodney Moore’s DVDs can be found online for between about $17 and $22. This seems a little high for what you get here, but it’s definitely worth a rental. The scenes have nice chemistry and a fun feeling, and are nicely captured by Rodney. The technical aspects vary throughout the movie, but do end up above average. Sadly, there’s virtually no effort put into extras or even the overall DVD authoring. This is a good movie on a DVD that almost falls a little short.

Note to Rodney Moore: It’s great to give people a peek at your next movie, but to list people from that preview as appearing in the movie is far from intelligent or honest. Also, please work on your authoring, as the authoring on this DVD makes it feel like it was done at least five years ago.
