Voyeur Within (Studio A) Review

The Movie: Due to Andrew Blake's unique and artistic style, I'm breaking from my usual style (yes, even this newer style) once again as Blake doesn't quite follow the typical porn format. The movie is wrapped around Tori Black and Sadie West as they get it on, with the other scenes intermingled through their lovemaking. As usual with Blake, the action is also in a mix of black and white and full color footage with a very artistic editing style and plenty of effort put into the outfits and styles that the girls wear. The footage is shot on film and mastered in HD, which gives the presentation a bit of grain as well as a level of depth that's rarely found in adult movies any more. There's also some definite attention paid to the music, which has a very artsy and sometimes techno feel to it, and is the only audio in the movie. If you're looking for the standard adult film style, you're not going to find it here.

As for the sex, you get a little of everything here. There's plenty of tease, masturbation, and lesbian action, as well as a bit of control issues and rougher sex. There's also armpit worship, spit, and foot worship, in addition to the straight sex that can be very rare in Blake's movies. Blake presents it all with a very artistic style that's something that people seem to love or hate, and although I can't say that it always works for me I can say that I love how he brings a fresh and artistic perspective to things. Voyeur Within has a lot more straight sex than I normally expect from Andrew Blake, and it and some of the rougher girl – girl action work nicely to break the movie up a bit.

All that said, Voyeur Within ended up working okay for me due to some of the themes. The spit play and armpit worship were a little much for me, but the straight sex and all girl group scene worked very well for me. Blake's use of mirrors also worked very well for me, although I can see some people unfamiliar with his work being a little less tolerant of them as there are many places where you can see him and his camera. Voyeur Within isn't Andrew Blake's best work, but it is a very nice change from the typical porn release.

Verdict: This isn't Andrew Blake's best work, but if you're a fan of his style you're going to find plenty to like. If you're not familiar with Blake's work, however, you might want to rent this one first or try one of his other releases.

Note to Studio A: Thank you for putting a little effort into your extras. With how short the movie is it definitely helps with the overall quality of the DVD.
