Who Should Watch It : Raincoaters who like a bit of artistic camera work

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who doesn’t like long, drawn out sex scenes

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear and well balanced. There are some background noises, but they fit in perfectly with the sex scenes. The video is also very good. There’s some very slight grain, but I’ve been told that John Leslie normally shoots on video and then applies filters to the final product. The lighting is different from most other adult films, but that’s nothing new for Leslie’s work. There’s frequent shadows and spotlighting that gives his features a minimalist feel, which is kind of ironic because I understand he puts an amazing amount of time and money into his lighting to get it just this way.

Music: None with the exception of a bar scene with some great blues going nicely in the background.

Menus: As usual, the menus are very well done. The main menu has a nice bit of animation, the chapter menu lets you select one of several points in a scene by the leading ladies in the scene, and the fetish menu lets you jump to specific sex acts. Surprisingly, the fetish menu is a bit weak here, as it only allows you to choose between blowjobs, cumshots, and anal.

The Feature: The Voyeur is back, and it looks like he’s finally found a way to make his obsession pay. He’s gotten into adult films, and has girls coming to him and fucking in front of him in hopes of getting into one of his movies. There’s a short lead-in for each scene, before the talent starts showing some of what they do best.

Bleached blonde beauty Cassie Marie starts things out with Manuel Ferrera, one of the nicest and best looking male performers I’ve had the pleasure to meet, and Steve French. After quickly changing, she brings Manuel and Steve in to meet John, telling him how she met them on the plane and that they’re in the business too. She shows off for all of them, and gives the guys a lap dance at John’s urging. She soon has her mouth around Steve’s cock while Manuel’s tongue explores her ass and pussy, and doesn’t shy away at all when Manuel comes up expecting a little cocksucking. It should be no surprise that this is a darn hot scene with great chemistry, just because it’s John Leslie behind the camera. Cassie does a great job here for somebody who appears to be fairly new, and stays enthusiastic through the entire scene. As usual with this series, John has a few comments throughout the scene, but they never interfere with the scene itself. This is a very good scene to start the movie out with.

After a little lesbo lovemaking between Bella-Marie Wolf and Saphire Rae, Cherie shows up for an audition. She’s constantly distracted by Kurt Lockwood as she talks with John, and John asks Kurt if he’d let Cherie do something to her on camera. He lets Cherie suck his cock and then ride it reverse cowgirl style. She plays with him a bit and lets him fuck her doggie style before letting Kurt fuck her ass reverse cowgirl style. Finally, she takes an impressive pop from Kurt that darn near goes up her nose. This is another excellent scene, and is drawn out and broke down enough that I don’t think a lot of people are going to make it through the entire scene in one sitting. Heck, I barely even made it through the warmup to the scene, with Cherie showing off her fantastic body while dressed up a bit. I hope to see more of Cherie in the future!

After the Bella-Marie Wolf and Saphire Ray watch Kurt and Cherie, Brian Pumper arrives to care of them. Bella drops down to suck Brian’s love muscle while Saphire watches, kisses his neck, plays with his nipples, and spanks him before moving down to help. After they work each other over orally a bit, Bella has Brian fuck Saphire’s snatch from behind while she watches and diddles herself. Of course, Bella can’t leave things well enough alone, so she gets in there to play with the two of them until Brian decides to fuck her instead. Saphire’s more than happy to sit back and watch, but does spank Bella a bit after John shows her how it’s supposed to be done. All good things must come to an end, and Brian comes to Saphire’s next. He pile drives it before spooning Bella’s ass. Finally, both girls finish things up with good facials. Kurt’s pop isn’t as good as before, but after apparently popping earlier, he does a good job here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It’s another hot scene, great chemistry and energy, etc. Basically, it’s typical John Leslie. Bella plays to the camera a bit much for some of my tastes, but it works here. She’s supposed to be playing to the camera for the movie, and although she plays it up a bit, she never seems to be overly faking it.

Cailey Taylor takes on Talon, Jeremy Steele, and Steamin Scott in a bar for the penultimate scene. When one of the guys tries to stop her from dancing on the stage, John talks him into joining her lap dance lineup. Of course things move onto more than a little oral sex, and as soon as Cailey gets warmed up the fucking starts. The guys make their way around Cailey fucking all her holes before giving her a nice facial. It’s a surprisingly short scene compared to all the others, and perhaps because of it, this scene didn’t work quite as well for me. Cailey did a decent job, but I just couldn’t get into the scene much. None of the guys seemed like they really knew what they were doing, and because of it Cailey seemed a little lost. Since this doesn’t seem quite like Leslie’s level of quality, and he does take some unique risks and wants things a specific way, I’m left wondering if he wanted it this way.

Finally, T. T. Boy takes on Kelli Tyler and Malaysia after John tells T.T. a little about what happened when they tried filming the earlier scene. They play around with each other to warm up before Malaysia rides T. T. up on the stage. The girls trade back and forth, but barely get involved with each other as T. T. works them over. Finally, they finish things sharing a nice facial. Malaysia feels a bit more standoffish than Kelli, but she still gets into it nicely. Kelli, however, makes the scene. She plays perfectly off of T. T.’s rougher nature, and seems to kick it up a notch every time T. T. wraps his hand around her throat. It’s a great and intense scene, and although it’s another shorter scene, it flowed much better than the previous scene for me.

Voyeur 24 is another great porno outing for John Leslie. In a kind of odd twist, it feels like two movies put together, first having the three tryout scenes and then shooting a couple movie scenes to finish it. It’s a great idea that I’m surprised I haven’t heard of somebody doing before. Although the two areas seem like they should fit together great, the styles were so different that I couldn’t get into the last two scenes like I did the first three. Where the first three are long and drawn out with plenty of tease, the last two are kinda wham bam thank you ma’am. It strikes me a little like going to a mixed concert. Bob Dylan can play some darn good blues, but it would feel odd to switch to him in the middle of a B. B. King show without a long intermission. Still, Voyeur 24 is one heck of a hot porn flick. The first three scenes alone are worth the cover price, and the last two aren’t bad either. They’re just different. Voyeur 24 is definitely worth a long look.

Extras: As usual with John Leslie’s Evil Angel DVDs, there’s a cast listing by scene, website information, a bio of John Leslie, and a commercial for the John Leslie Blues Band. There’s also trailers for Voyeur 23, The Lecher 2, and Fresh Meat 8 and filmographies listing other Evil Angel credits for for Bella-Marie Wolf, Cassie Marie, Cherie, and Kelli Tyler, complete with some of their other aliases and a very nice photo. There’s also a very nice looking photo gallery with about forty nine shapshots. Finally, there’s about twenty six minutes of extra footage. It’s all nicely separated by scene, and mixes a little bit of stuff similar to what was in the movie, a little few new positions, and a couple outtakes. Much of it looks and sounds about as good as the movie, but a fair amount of it also has a few minor problems like soft focus problems or a little camera shake.

Raincoat Factor: Very high

Overall: Currently, most of Evil Angel’s DVDs can be found online for between $19 and $27 with many stores offering them for around $23. As usual, Evil Angel is giving you some great bang for your buck. Yeah, you can get cheaper DVDs than this, but you’re also not going to get as good a transfer, as hot of sex, or any extra footage. This is another winning DVD from John Leslie.

Note to Evil Angel / John Leslie: As usual, you’ve done a nice job of mixing scenes that leave me drooling and scenes that leave me scratching my head a little. Keep up the great work!
