Initial Expectations: With one exception Andrew Drake has always underwhelmed me. To say that my expectations are in the toilet is probably an understatement.

Initial Reaction: It’s far from a great interactive DVD, but it has me wanting to see much more of Lana Moore!

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is a bit on the low side, which means you have to crank up the volume if you want to hear it decently. There’s also a few background noises. The video leaves much to be desired. It’s overlit and shows some very noticeable pixelation to the point you might think you’re watching some of it on the original Atari system. On top of that, some of it is even a bit out of focus.

Music: None once you get into the feature

Menus: The main menu is very basic, and contains a few photos of Lana Moore.

The Feature: Virtually Yours: Lana Moore is the latest entry in the virtual sex world. It mergers the menu style of the My Plaything series from Digital Sin with the all black background style of the Virtual Sex with series from Digital Playground using the same setup as in Digital Pleasure With... Brooke Hunter. Needless to say, this time Lana Moore, is the focus of the feature. She’s an extremely cute brunette with big tits, a pierced tongue and navel, and a killer ass, who I’ve sadly never heard of until now.

You have the usual choices with Lana as you do with most virtual sex simulators. She’ll show you her tits, pussy, and ass as a tease or let you watch her masturbate with a dildo, vibe, or her fingers. She’ll even let you work on her with a vibe, your fingers, or your tongue and is talented enough to come from each of them. Finally, you can have her suck your cock or fuck her missionary, doggie, cowgirl, or reverse cowgirl style. Finally, you can pop on Lana in each position or during the blowjob.

In each case, the segments normally run close to a minute long, ranging between about thirty and seventy seconds. Oddly, many of the naughty fucking segments only last about forty five seconds. Whenever you hit the end of a loop you go right back to the beginning, regardless of if Lana was fully dressed at the start of the scene and her clothes in tatters at the end. The loops also feel cut off many times, as Lana looks to be getting into it very well, is cut off in mid-moan, and you’re returned to a much quieter Lana. It’s an annoying problem, and one that most other studios have moved past.

There’s about a twenty to thirty second pop shot for each position, but most of them are horribly faked. The pop in doggie is real, although it doesn’t have a lot of volume. There’s also a pop in Lana’s mouth for the blowjob that she swallows down. You never see it, but from the look on her face there’s no denying that she got a dose of milk of man-esia. The same pop shot is used in both the naughty and nice modes, and when it’s bad it’s so bad that you think the jiz stream might turn into the Shmoo.

Unlike almost every other interactive DVD I’ve seen that Andrew Drake’s been involved with, the menu selections actually work pretty well here. You can actually change from one position to another, or from naughty to nice, during a segment rather than waiting for the current segment to finish. He’s also figured out how to make the segments loop rather than just playing and letting you return to the menu. Sadly, this means he’s finally reached the point with his interactive DVDs that other studios were at several years ago.

As with many other virtual sex features, you have two angles. During the sex sequences it’s normally a side view while the other segments give you a close-up. Surprisingly, the alternate views are normally just as clear as the first view. During the cowgirl portion the angles are messed up to the point that the same angle is used for naughty and nice, but the audio changes to fit the mood. The alternate angles work pretty well here.

Finally, you have the choice between a “Naughty” Lana and a “Nice” Lana. These are hit and miss through the feature. Lana works it very nice during the tease, masturbation, and foreplay sections, but during the sex and blowjob she tends to get into the sex to the point that I didn’t see much difference. She also has some trouble making the naughty lines seem believable, as they feel very repetitive rather than feeling natural. Lana hasn’t been around too long, so this I almost blame on the ineptitude of Andrew Drake behind the camera.

Although I want to hate and rip Lana Moore is Virtually Yours, I can’t. Yes, the mechanism for the feature is five years behind, which means that for most people I’d recommend renting this one rather than buying it. Yes, it has horribly faked pop shots that only Hanna-Barbara could be proud of. Most importantly, yes, I loved Lana Moore. She blends hot and cute into the best looking starlet I’ve seen come along in a long time, and her ass is so good that she should be hunting down John Stagliano to get the notice she deserves. I hate to see one of her first features hang the albatross of Andrew Drake around her neck, so she deserves to work with a real director. She has a rough time getting started through some of the sequences with making the lines look believable, but her sex comes off extremely natural and had me completely wrapped up. Lana Moore is Virtually Yours leaves plenty to be desired, but Lana herself comes off as extremely desirable.

Overall: Currently, Virtually Yours: Lana Moore can be found online for between $15 and $28 with only a few stores offering it right now. Although the low end is a bit high, in the right mood I might pick it up just because I’m really impressed with Lana. She’s cute as can be and puts on a nice show, although the virtual sex aspects of the DVD are about five years behind. The technical aspects are also lacking and there isn’t anything worth mentioning for extras.

Note to Lord Perious: Andrew Drake is somebody that should be about as welcome as the IRS. Occasionally there may be a good outcome, but most times it’s not going to be a positive result. A couple extras would be great here, such as a bonus scene with Lana or an interview.
