Initial Expectations: Virtual sex titles seem to be really hit or miss. Since I hadn’t heard anything about this one, when I agreed to review it I wasn’t expecting a hit, but my expectations really hit the bottom when I saw that New Machine is just distributing this one for Pixis.

Initial Reaction: Once again, Pixis shows why anything that has their name on it should be avoided like the plague and anything they say should be taken with the same amount of trust and believability as what’s said by people like Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, and Hillary Clinton.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who can get it cheap and likes Japanese sex

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a virtual sex DVD

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty clear and decently balanced, but entirely in Japanese. The video is okay, and has some very slight grain, limited lighting, and more than a little bit of soft focus and camera shake problems.

Music: There’s some quiet music in the background of the first scene that sounds more like whoever’s working the camera has their walkman too loud than anything. The second scene has some typical porn music with a Japanese feel that’s decently balanced.

False Advertising: The cover states that this is The most advanced DVD Virtual Sex Simulator on the planet when in reality I wouldn’t call anything about it interactive. Anybody who’s seen a few of Pixis’ DVDs in the past will be used to this kind of bull, which they were very well known for. Even worse, it advertises an interview and behind the scenes footage, which aren’t included on the DVD that I could find. I’d penalize the overall rating a point and a how blatant and misleading the cover is, but sadly that’d give the DVD a negative score.

Menus: The menus are very basic, and aren’t always clear about what you’re going to get.

The Feature: You have two main choices when starting Virtual Sexbot: Aki, a movie or TFUI. That’s right. From the very start it doesn’t look like a virtual sex feature. You can also go to credits on the main screen, but they don’t let you know anything about the cast.

The first scene in the movie starts out with a Japanese girl getting worked over by a guy who looks to be the thin Japanese version of Ed Powers. He gets her to show herself a little and plays with her pussy before having her work on his cock. She takes him all the way down to the base, which isn’t any great feat, before laying back for him to fuck her. He pulls her up to play with both of her holes while she shakes her head to not play with her ass before sliding his cock into her ass. He gives her a little doggie fucking before going back to missionary and finishing things up with a facial. It’s an okay scene that’s kind of hit and miss. There’s plenty of times when the girl looks like she’s having a lot of fun, but there’s also times where it looks like he’s doing things to her she doesn’t want him to. It also has some horrible camera work, with things such as leaving the camera lie on the bed to capture them fucking.

The second scene is about a guy who is apparently sneaking into his rich neighbor’s place to use the pool. Instead of finding the place abandoned he finds three good looking women and his neighbor there and hides in the bushes to watch. Luckily there’s a flower pot for him to hide behind after he tried getting a closer look with his imaginary binoculars, so he crawls up close to watch using the flowerpot for camouflage and then starts jerking off from a few feet away. While one of the girls plays with the neighbor, the other two gesture the jerkoff to come play with them. The spread the oral loving around to make sure everybody’s nicely warmed up before fucking, and keep moving around so both of the guys get a bit of each of the girls. Two of the girls finish things off with facials, never shying away from a drop, while the third licks up the leftovers. It’s a surprisingly fun and hot scene, although the camera work leaves more than a little to be desired again.

The TFUI section is supposed to be a virtual sex simulator. You select things on a very basic screen, such as having her clothes on or off, which direction for her to face, and whether she sucks cock for a minute or takes a facial for a little under a minute. You can toggle things between two angles for the couple minutes of scenes, but by the time you get that far, you’re probably going to have popped the DVD out. The entire thing is about as interactive as your normal chapter menu.

Surprisingly, Virtual Sexbot: Aki is a kind of hit and miss feature. Sadly, every hit isn’t something that’s supposed to be on the DVD. The two scenes in the movie are pretty good, and the second one’s a lot of fun. It’s pretty obvious that the people here want to be there, and enjoy almost the entire thing. Sadly, this is supposed to be a virtual sex feature, and you get less than two minutes of anything close to virtual sex and that’s about as interactive as your normal chapter menu. Since the entire cover makes this look like an interactive feature, I can’t help but be more than a little pissed off here. The entire cover is nothing more than an outright lie about what the DVD contains. Yes, there is still some good stuff there, but until the cover is redone to look somewhere close to what the DVD is really like, I can’t in good conscience recommend that anybody pays money for Virtual Sexbot: Aki.

Extras: The photo gallery lasts about five and a quarter minutes with about nine seconds per photo. It has some nice photos, but if you try to do anything like scan through it faster so you can watch it at a decent pace, it goes completely wild. It starts flipping through the photos extremely fast while the time basically stops. There’s also credits.

Raincoat Factor: High

Overall: Currently, Virtual Sexbot: Aki can be found online for between $19 and $25 with most stores offering it near the lower end. If you pay this much for this title you should be institutionalized. The DVD is nothing like the cover, is basically a one hour movie, and as interactive as your normal chapter menu. There are a couple fun scenes, but I can’t recommend a movie that’s cover is as blatantly different from the feature in good conscience.

Note to New Machine: Please dump anything you have to do with Pixis. You’ve shown some decent potential in the past and I can only see Pixis bringing everybody around them down.
