Initial Expectations: I haven’t heard a lot of really good things about this one, so I’m not expecting too much.

Initial Reaction: It’s obviously one of the earliest virtual sex simulators and leaves a lot to be desired.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of Jenna and virtual sex.

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes actual pornos.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is very clear. All you can hear is Jenna and you can hear her very clearly. The picture is also very good but has a few very minor faults.

Music: None.

Menus: The virtual sex menus are easy to manipulate but take up a lot of room.

The Feature: I have to admit that Virtual Sex with Jenna is better than what I expected. Then again, I didn’t expect too much. I enjoy watching Jenna, but I’m not as captivated by her as most guys are. Yes, she does a great job, but I think it’s her publicist that really deserves the credit. Whether you like Jenna or not, you have to agree that she’s brought a lot of attention to the adult film world and has had a major effect on it. With the attention Jenna brings, it’s hard to think of a better choice of an adult film star to start a virtual sex series with.

I’ve heard this was originally a test run and well, it shows. There are quite a few problems that have been changed since Virtual Sex with Jenna has come out but there are some good things also. The obvious problem, or maybe it would be better put as an extreme dislike, is the background. There isn’t one. It’s just a plain black background. Heck, I don’t think bedrooms are that hard to find. In fact I’ll even do my part to help a little. Hey Digital Playground, if you want to re-do this one, I’ll let you use my bedroom for free!

The scenes are also extremely short. The long loops last about a minute (and if it’s over a minute it isn’t much over). Even worse, there’s a heck of a lapse when the loop has to restart so the entire screen goes black. Luckily, the continuity is pretty good. Each time the loop starts you don’t have to see Jenna inserting the guy’s, oops, I mean your, dick into her pussy. Better continuity is one of the things I wish more virtual sex simulators would have and from the ones I’ve seen, this seems to be the best.

The scenes are also pretty hot. Jenna knows how to get it going, and she does it very well here. There isn’t a lot of time for her to build up anything, but Jenna manages very well in the four positions (missionary, cowgirl, reverse cowgirl, and doggy). In foreplay you can only choose whether you want to use your fingers or a vibrator. Oral sex lets you go down on her, which didn’t really work for me (and no, I didn’t keep bumping my head on the computer screen). It seemed kind of laughable. Her blowjob, however, was very good and perhaps the best selection on the DVD. Throughout it all you can choose what angle (first person or a mirror angle) you want to view it in and thankfully the multiple angles also appeared to be true multiple angles. You can also choose whether Jenna’s innocent (snicker) or nasty. She does both very well and it adds a lot to the overall DVD. Sadly, there’s well under an hour of total scenes in the entire DVD. I originally guessed at around a half hour, but I’ll double it just to be safe. Even at an hour, it doesn’t seem like much. If you keep switching between positions, however, it just might feel a heck of a lot bigger than what it is.

Also on the plus side, the virtual sex choices are pretty easy to understand. It’s pretty much idiot proof. When it’s foreplay time, you either choose the picture of the hand or the picture of the vibrator. Even the sex positions later on are shown as pictures. It makes it very easy and very user friendly. On the other side of the screen is the controls to allow you to choose what major sex action (sex or foreplay) you want, whether to orgasm, and whether Jenna’s innocent (chuckle) or nasty. Once again, everything is clear and easy to understand. You can also use your keypad rather than scrolling through the choices.

The biggest joke in the entire DVD is the cum shots. I’m sure you’ve heard of them by now. They’re a computer generated cumshot. I think they might have stole the graphic from a mid- eighties video game. It’s about that good. I couldn’t help but laugh when I first saw it. I kept waiting for it to explode like fireworks. Thankfully there is a real cumshot for one of them, so you get to give Jenna a facial after she gives you head. It’s a very good facial, but I wish that stunt dicks would have been used for the other cum shots instead of the graphics. Even going with one standard cum shot and having her move from whatever position she’s in to that position would have been an improvement.

Fans of Jenna will probably enjoy Virtual Sex With Jenna , but anybody else curious about virtual sex titles might want to keep looking. It’s obviously a very early virtual sex title and very bare bones as well. Overall: Currently, Virtual Sex with Jenna can be found online for between $16 and $50 (no that’s not a typo) with many stores offering it for under $20. If you’re a Jenna fanatic, rent it first. It lacks as a virtual sex simulator and has absolutely no extras. Thankfully, the audio and video quality is great and the extremely short sequences are pretty good or it would be a complete waste.

Note to Digital Playground: Although I haven’t seen any others in your Virtual Sex With... series, I sure hope they’re better than this. If this was the first virtual sex title I ever watched I probably wouldn’t pay any attention to them.
