The Little Details

NOTE: This is an amateur video. Amateur and homemade movies don’t have the budget nor the resources of studio porn, and therefore rarely get close to the same quality technically. I’m rating this DVD on the same scale, but most homemade or amateur features would rarely make it above a 3 on the standard scale I use for studio porn for their technical aspects. The performers also aren’t normally the ‘glamour stars’ one expects from studio porn, and instead use people who look like somebody you might encounter in your day to day life. Finally, the camera work has a different feel, as it’s often shot from a tripod or with somebody who doesn’t have the technical training or experience of professional cameramen. That said, amateur and homemade features have a great charm to them, simple because the people in them are doing what they’re doing to have fun and because they enjoy it. All the things that separate them from studio porn contribute to that charm, I hope people will keep that in mind when checking out this review and not just look at the ratings as the ultimate word on this release. Since the technical aspects are normally lacking and there normally isn’t much for extras in amateur features, I’ve weighted my overall rating more heavily towards the sex than I do in most studio porn.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done for an amateur porn release. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but as usual with amateur porn there are a few minor background noises and balance problems. The video is presented in the full frame format and looks very nice. There's a bit of uneven lighting, a touch of grain, and a little minor camera motion, but for amateur porn they're all very minor and leaves the movie looking very high end compared to much of the rest of the genre.

Watermark Warning: Although the normally don’t bother me much, there is a small and tasteful watermark warning that stays in the lower right corner. This made it very easy to filter out for me, and quite honestly, I didn’t notice it unless I thought about it.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu keeps Shot at Home’s usual style with their logo and a photo from the movie. The chapter menu is also simple, and lets you choose where to go in the movie based on six clips from the movie.

The Feature

Victoria Zdrok is a former Playboy Playmate, Penthouse Pet of the Year, author of the Penthouse “Vices and Vanities” column, and star of her own website. This is a very nice opening scene. Victoria looks fantastic and comes off as more than friendly. She does a very nice job working the tease, and I loved how she mixed in a bit of shaving as well. This is a very nice start to the movie.

This is a nice little scene. Once again Victoria looks fantastic, and I love her sexy lingerie to start the scene out. She does a very nice job with her toys and gets into them without going completely overboard with her reactions, and makes this a very enjoyable masturbation scene. This scene worked very well for me.

Victoria shows off in another sexy bra and panty set for this scene as the location moves to her favorite leopard print couch with a small brush. This is a nice little tease scene. The masturbation is extremely light, but Victoria gives plenty of eye candy to make the scene work. Once again her personality is extremely friendly to go with it, and although I would have liked this scene to continue a bit with some decent masturbation and a bit more of a show, it still works nicely as it is. This scene leaves one wanting more, but it's still not a bad scene.

Victoria works out a little to start the next scene, and not surprisingly her workout quickly turns towards a naked workout as she loses her shorts. Of course she can't help but play with herself after a few moments, and soon after moves from her cross trainer to a bench so she can better show off and play. Victoria doesn't diddle herself for long before deciding to change the location to her deck.

This is another nice little scene. It starts out a bit dark for the cross-trainer portion, but as usual Victoria is more than friendly through it. Once again the masturbation portion seems a little quick, and I couldn't help but think that with a few more minutes that this would have been a much more satisfying scene as Victoria never seemed to close to an orgasm. There's some nice eye candy to this scene, but it felt a touch short and shallow.

Victoria sits on a wooden swing on her deck wearing a black skirt and black and white top that isn't close to being closed over her sexy gold bra and panties from earlier in the movie to start out this scene. She quickly strips off her skirt and shows off her pussy before jumping on a trampoline and stripping down to jump naked on her trampoline.

This is an amusing little scene. It only lasts a few minutes, but Victoria keeps it moving nice and puts on a nice little show with a touch of humor. I'll readily admit that I wasn't expecting a trampoline in this movie, but she makes it work well. This is a very short segment, but it gives some nice eye candy and humor.

Victoria moves back inside where she sits on a dark pink couch wearing a little light pink outfit. She slowly strips down to play with herself after putting on a nice little tease. She breaks out a glass dildo and puts it to work on her pussy before saying goodbye and giving her website a little plug.

This is a nice little final scene. I found myself wanting a little more, but Victoria looks great and I love how friendly she is in her scenes. The scene moves along at a pretty good pace and the action is captured very nicely. This is a good final scene.

Victoria Zdrok at Home 2 is a very nice sequel. Victoria seems much more at ease this time around, and puts on a great show. She's very friendly from start to finish and looks fantastic. I would have liked a few more outfits from her as well as the shoe closet tour that she mentions in the middle but never happens. I would have also liked the movie to last another ten or fifteen minutes, as some of the scenes seemed a little on the short side. At the same time, although they frequently left me wanting more, they were also done well enough that I never felt like I was being shorted much in any of the scenes and still went into every new scene with the same enthusiasm I had at the start of each of the previous scenes. Victoria Zdrok at Home 2 is a very nice little homemade solo girl movie that should definitely please her fans.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most of Shot at Home's DVDs can be found on their website for around $20. If you're a fan of Victoria Zdrok, this one's going to be a bargain. Although I would have liked some of the scenes to have gone a little longer, she puts on a great show from start to finish and looks fantastic while feeling very friendly. The technical aspects are very nicely done for a true amateur release, and there's a touch of effort put into the extras as well. This is a very nice solo girl release.

Note to Shot at Home: With how nicely Victoria improved from her first release to this one, I hope you can talk her into doing a third.
