Vampire Sex Diaries, The Review

Erotic vampire films are a very rare breed in this fantastic adult industry. So vampire films automatically get bonus points from me in my reviews because they are rarer and of course my favorites. I've watched many erotic and not so erotic vampire films in my day and can only tell you from my reaction, The Vampire Sex Diaries, had my fangs out throughout most of the movie. This alone makes it worthy of 5 stars in my view and I plan to watch it again.

My focus in reviewing vampire films is of course the realism in the scenes between vampires and victims. Oh, the sex is there, and it's as good as any other XXX film, maybe even hotter. Girl/girl, BJ, 69, missionary and doggie, but the real magic for me at least is in the vampire and the bite scene -- you know, the surrender and conquest.

I felt the bite scenes were maybe a tad too fast and would have liked them to be a little more realistic. The suspense leading up to the bite was pretty good. The Director also did a good job of making the bite scenes not appear too gross (a problem with some vampire themed movies). I also liked how the bite scene would lead to the sex scene. I thought that worked well.

The quality of the film was exceptional. Although a dark film even a bit scary at times, lighting, costume, makeup, and sound were all well done.

The Vampire Sex Diaries was released in February, 2010 and has received seven 2011 AVN Award nominations. Good luck!

Tabatha Stevens, Shane Collins, Jay Lassiter, Sophia Santi, Ashlyn Rae, Jenna Presley and my new favorite star, Ally Kay all performed very well. Where so many films fail, this one delivered and delivered well.
