Review:
When a young and unwitting female reporter, played by Dani Daniels, investigates a fringe group calling itself the “Vampire Society”, she ends up getting much more than she had ever bargained for. Such is the case in “The Vampire Mistress”, an excellent release from director Harry Sparks and his production company, Sparks Entertainment. Indeed, this flick traces Ms. Daniels’ path as she makes the transition from being a journalist who’s simply out after a story to an undead-hunting super-heroine bent on stopping the masterful evildoer and blood-sucker, Lily LaBeau. Along the way, of course, there’s plenty of steamy and dark sex…all of it of the girl-on-girl variety.
It should be noted that this isn’t the typical adult film release. All of the backgrounds have been done with computer graphics in front of a green screen. This gives a very unique feel to the proceedings that blends well with the comic book theme…though it does take some getting used to. The sex is fairly soft—and essentially softcore in some instances—but it’s still steamy and erotic. Plot-wise, this feature will likely appeal to fans of the comic book and vampire genres. It has a unique flavor to it that goes over well in these regards, and it is likely to leave the viewer hoping for a sequel.
In terms of the sex, Scene One features a sensual, sun-bathed lesbian sequence between Dani Daniels and Hayden Winters in the couples’ bedroom. After working their way out of their tee-shirts and panties, the two ladies get down to business pleasing one another as only they can…with their fingers and tongues. Soft and gentle girl-on-girl action follows, with each of the women sating the other’s carnal whims, and the love making comes to a close with a poignant kiss.
Scene Two finds Dani Daniels nude at the lair of the “Vampire Society”, after having been taken captive by its leader, Lily LaBeau. Daniels’ fear is palpable, as the candles that burn around her accentuate her lithe—though huddled—frame. LaBeau and her minion, Faith Lee Sentz, skulk their way in, immediately descending upon the cowering young reporter. Throwing Sentz, a tatted BBW performer, into the mix imparts a nice blend to the action that ensues, and it doesn’t take long for the “victim”, Dani, to get into all of the Sapphic goings-on (fingers and tongues). Ultimately, LaBeau feasts upon her literally, as well as figuratively, and the segment comes to a bloody climax.
In Scene Three, lovers Ariana Fox and Brittney Banxxx take care of one another’s needs in a sensual girl-on-girl encounter, once again taking place in a sun-bathed bedroom. Fingers and tongues are the order of this quick flashback sequence, and the women seem into one another’s goodies.
Scene Four has Brittney Banxxx ravaged by Faith Lee Sentz, Darcy Tyler, and Lily LaBeau at the vampires’ dwelling. Taking place under the flicker of candlelight, the vamps devour Ms. Banxxx in an erotic attempt at making her one of their own. The blood flows red (and reaches a boil) before this sexy segment comes to an end.
In Scene Five, Lily LaBeau has it out in a quickie softcore sequence with one of her newer recruits, Ariana Fox, back at the Society’s den. With Lily in only a red latex top and matching heels, and Ariana in a sexy black lingerie / fishnet number, the two ladies are certainly looking hot. Of course, the action that follows is equally hot, albeit brief…and bloody.
Scene Six finds Faith Lee Sentz nude and grasping a metal bar suspended from the ceiling of an otherwise dark and empty room. Lily LaBeau is there, dominating her, as she teases her with a whip, spanks and nibbles on her soft curves, and rubs her fingers on her intimate areas. While all soft, this is still smoking hot material.
Bonus-wise, there’s a second disc included in the set where one finds the extras. There’s a “non-sex version” of the flick (~23 minutes), a “comic book” (a unique idea with a quick and related comic-like story), an “fx reel” (showing the use of the green screen and other effects in the production), and a “photo gallery” (a slideshow of stills from the production). There are also a “behind the scenes gallery” (a slideshow of BTS shots) and two trailers. A true BTS and, perhaps, some interview footage would have been nice additions here.
In all, this flick will likely appeal to fans of the vampire and comic book genres and has a unique stylization that works well in such regards. The sex isn’t ultra-hardcore…in fact, it borders on softcore…but it is still erotic. While this release won’t be for everyone, for the right audience, it’s a distinct winner.
