Unfolding brings New York Times bestselling author Selena Kitt's book to the blue screen. Unfolding is brought to the screen by director and screenplay writer Kay Brandt, who has brought several of Selena Kitt's novels to the blue screen already. Each of Kay Brandt and Selena Kitt's collaborations has come out beautifully, and Unfolding continues that tradition.

Unfolding is a romantic drama that shows the journey of a married couple into a non-traditional lifestyle. In Unfolding, Jack (Seth Gamble) and Charlie (Cherie Deville) are married. Jack starts spicing up their marriage sexually by becoming more exploratory, which starts turning on Charlie. Jack secretly brings Charlie to a swinger's bed and breakfast run by Lloyd (Small Hands) and Marla (India Summer). There Charlie finds herself becoming sexually unleashed.

Unfolding is a romantic tale of a couple who is very much in love. A concept that Unfolding holds onto from start to finish. Unlike so many adult movies, neither commits adultery. Their sexual journey is taken together. The story is excellent. At no part does the viewer get bored nor does that material ever feel old.

The movie opens with a great extended tease sequence before the initial sex scene; from this beginning on the viewer is well aware that they aren't watching a standard adult movie. The sex scenes are sensual, and each one is made all the more erotic by the build-up to each one of them. Due to the setting and plot, the movie lends itself to sex scenes. As a result, none of the sex scenes seem out of place at all, and each one helps propel the narrative forward.

The cast is fantastic and is exceptional in their roles. Seth Gamble and Cherie Deville are entirely believable in their roles as a married couple. The two come across as altogether comfortable with each other and each other's bodies. The supporting cast is excellent as well with extra props going out to Small Hands and Abella Danger who are also wonderful in their roles as well.

As viewers have come to expect from Kay Brandt's movies, the sets are excellent. The bed and breakfast retreat is lovely and fits the movie perfectly. Nate Liquor, who has served as the director of photography on many of Kay Brandt's recent movies, captures the entire movie wonderfully.

Many modern-day adult productions are often heavily lacking in the music that is used in feature movies; this is a shame because music can set the mood of a movie and compliment the visuals. Unfolding has some excellent music selections and songs that are used during the movie which benefits the final movie.

Fans of features will not want to miss Unfolding. We are still in January and already have a many award-worthy feature film. Unfolding is one of those rare movies where there isn't anything negative to say about the movie at all.

Adam & Eve has done an excellent job with their digital screener of Unfolding. Unfolding was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 1080p. The image quality for the movie is immaculate with nary a blemish nor defect to be seen. The colors in the movie are excellent.

Unfolding is presented with an English Stereo audio track. As with the video, the audio in Unfolding is perfect with no glitches that were noticed. The dialog in the movie is clear and easy to understand at all times.

Unfolding is another collaboration between Kay Brandt and Selena Kitt and, as with Kay Brandt's past collaborations with Selena Kitt, is well worth watching. Unfolding is a romance story of a husband and wife finding their inner sexual beings through a sexual journey with each other. Unfolding is beautifully made and is sure to be on the AVN and XBIZ award nomination lists for 2020 for best feature and best sex scene. This reviewer can't recommend Unfolding highly enough.
