Review:
Offering up two new, terrifying featurettes, Under the Bed 2 from Pure Taboo picks up on the dark and disturbing path where the opener left off. This time around Eric Falardeau and Bree Mills take on the directorial duties, each putting forth their own sinister sequence of mind-bending, masturbatory material.
Going first is Falardeau's "The Thing from the Lake", in which a young scientist, Bree Daniels, encounters a man, Lucas Frost, masturbating out by a wooded lake, while she's out collecting samples. Within moments, Frost is joined by an enigmatic, water-borne creature, Bella Rolland, who picks up where his hand left off and fucks him out (...all whilst Daniels plays with herself in the distance.) Of course, Bree ultimately encounters Bella again--as slimy as she is beautiful--out in the woods and also succumbs to the entity's charms. A fairly standard, girl-on-girl encounter is the result, as is a surprise ending...
Second (and last) is the true gem of the flick (and the series thus far, for that matter), Bree Mills' "Fertile". Here, the ever-gorgeous Alina Lopez stars as Tommy Pistol's baby-obsessed wife, who's finding it near-impossible to get pregnant, despite all of the modern medical treatments available. With her relationship strained and also at her wit's end, a chance flyer that Lopez discovers on the windshield of her car finds her secretly seeking out the aid of an extreme and overzealous scientist, Angela White. White's psychotic approach is unconventional, at best, and puts Alina in multiple bizarre and unsafe positions--fucking a cock on a faceless body, fucking a fully disembodied cock, and finally fucking the muscle-bound Charles Dera, who's so hopped up on testosterone that he's a frothing, barely-human animal. Needless to mention, things are precarious for Ms. Lopez, to say the least, and they may well go from bad to worse...
Overall, this pair of featurettes--particularly "Fertile"--has more of a Black Mirror feel than a Creep Show one, somewhat unlike those in the first installment. Either way, however, the result is an excellent and well-executed one.
A serious shout-out should also go to Lopez and White for their acting, which is top-notch in both cases. Further, Pistol does his typical, stellar job as a thespian, as well. It should also be noted that Alina's sex scenes (with assists by Angela along the way) are as scorching hot as she is, which is saying a lot. (They're also seriously twisted and messed up. Sheesh!)
All in all, fans of horror porn, features, strong acting, and any of the participants are going to want to check this one out (especially "Fertile"). It is unique, impressive, and the overall concept underpinning this budding, new series is quickly showing itself to be a breath of fresh air.
