UltraFan is the adult film directorial debut of D.P. Welles, who is quickly climbing up this reviewer's favorite directors list. UltraFan, which was co-directed by Brent Corrigan, is a gay feature hardcore movie that borrows from real life aspects of Brent Corrigan's life — which has been chronicled in the film King Cobra by Justin Kelly — and inserts them into a fictional scenario.

First an foremost, UltraFan is a narrative-driven movie. Everything in the movie moves toward furthering the story, and the sex scenes are a part of the story as well. UltraFan is the perfect example of how a feature film can have story and sex together harmoniously.

The story for UltraFan is that Brent Corrigan (played by himself) is doing cam shows only now with toys because people aren't paying for their porn anymore. His number one fan (Holly Sweet) blackmails Brent into taking real dick again on camera.

UltraFan plays out essentially in real-time as the viewer watches Brent Corrigan as he is being blackmailed on his cam show. The sex scenes in the movie are part of the story and help drive the movie forward. UltraFan is incredibly well written. The entire movie is very plausible, and the story holds interest and keeps the viewer in suspense throughout the whole movie.

The cast does wonderfully in the movie, with both the sex scenes and the non-sexual portions of the movie. Brent Corrigan carries the movie perfectly. It seems dumb to say that someone does a great job of playing himself since Brent Corrigan is portraying himself in the movie; however, playing ones on self in a movie isn't that easy since one is playing a cinematic representation of himself. The supporting cast does an excellent job as well.

The shooting locations are excellent. Most of the action in the movie takes place in Brent Corrigan's “home.” However, viewer's “home” locations, a U-Haul-style truck, and an exterior location along with another are all used. Each one works perfectly for the movie.

D.P. Welles directorial adult film debut UltraFan is not to be missed. The movie is a feature hardcore gay adult movie; however, there is more than enough within the movie to satisfy straight or bisexual viewers as well. UltraFan is a perfect example of the level that story based adult movies should be aspiring to reach.

The edition of UltraFan screened is the streaming-only edition available on NakedSword.com. NakedSword has done an excellent job with their streaming-only edition of UltraFan. UltraFan was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 1080p. UltraFan looks absolutely beautiful with flawless image quality. There aren't any noticeable issues whatsoever.

UltraFan is presented with an English Stereo audio track. As with the video, there aren't any noticeable flaws with the sound quality. The dialog in the movie is clear and easy to understand at all times.

NakedSword hasn't included any extras with the streaming-only edition of UltraFan.

UltraFan is one of those rare and unique adult movies where the sex and the story are entirely intertwined and rely on each other. UltraFan is an excellent adult movie that will be loved by fans of feature adult movies that actually want a real plot with their sex. The cast does a beautiful job with their roles, and UltraFan shouldn't be missed.
