What You Need to Know: If you're looking for adult action on the couples friendly side of things but still with a bit of variety and style, this is another Adam & Eve 4-pack that's worth a look. The story in each release is never overly heavy, and as usual with Nicholas Steele's work for Adam & Eve often seemed to be more about style than substance. That's going to leave some people a bit cold on these features, with The Merger being the biggest offender. Yes, Sex Spell and Unforgettable have a lighter plot, but their style helps them to work around the lighter plot much better than The Merger does with its bigger story. Each movie is definitely aimed at the couples market, and there's a decent mix of action without losing the couples friendly feel. If there's a complaint here it's that this set falls a bit short on the “Star Powered” angle it puts forward. Yes, you get some decent stars here that will be easily recognized by those who have been watching porn for the last decade or so, but for those who have only been watching the last year and a half or so about the only people they might recognize are Jenna Haze, Carmen Luvana, Jewel De'Nyle, and Briana Banks and each of them only appear in one movie each. That's not exactly a lot of star power for this 4-pack, especially with some of the other stars Adam & Eve has had in their early releases. This would have seemed like a much more star powered edition if one of the Dinner Party releases were included here or perhaps Caribbean Undercover or Sex Island if Adam & Eve wanted to stick with all Nicholas Steele releases. All in all, Ultimate 4-Pack Star Powered Edition is a great value, but due to some of the great talent Adam & Eve has had in front of their cameras over the years I couldn't help but expect more out of it.

Verdict: Although I didn't enjoy the movies in this 4-pack as much as some of Adam & Eve's other Ultimate 4-Packs, the price point still makes it well worth a look.

Note to Adam & Eve: This is a nice box set, and the price point is a nice way to bring out some older discs. I'm not wild about box sets, but you had a decent idea with this one.
