Initial Expectations: Seymore has shown the ability to make some dang hot gonzo features, and has also made some very good DVDs when he’s put his mind to it. I’m hoping this is one of the good ones rather than the pitiful excuses for a DVD that he’s also released.

Initial Reaction: It’s a well done DVD but the feature gets a little long at times.

Audio /Video Quality: Although it’s a gonzo feature, the audio is very good. There’s a bit of the unbalanced sound you expect from gonzo from when the camera gets a little too close to somebody, but that’s about it. The video is much the same. The colors aren’t always consistent from camera to camera, but when they change, it’s normally everything getting a shade or two darker so things don’t look too far out of whack. The picture itself is very clear, and doesn’t have the shake that most people have come to expect from gonzo porn.

Disc Problems / False Advertising: The cover states a running time of over three hours, although the feature doesn’t even run two hours. Once the extras are added in this pretty close, but almost every other company out there lists a feature running time rather than a total DVD running time. Most of those other studios also state that it’s a total running time, as opposed to this DVD which doesn’t. Sadly, since the industry standard seems to be listing a feature running length, this appears very deceptive to the consumer, and because of it I’m deducting a half point from the overall score.

Menus: The main menu is nicely animated and gives a very good first impression. The chapter menu is well done, and even includes the option to view it with a breakdown of the sex acts in the scene.

The Feature: Seymore Butts is back with his video camera and thankfully not being a bitch for a guy who’s hobbies include molesting dead animals and dressing up his private parts with Barbie clothes in a jail cell somewhere. This time, Seymore’s getting ready for another live internet show. He’s counting on Hakan, Mark Davis, and Lee Stone to stretch the sphincters of Darla Crane, Gina Ryder, and Ebony, but as always, shit happens and things change. Since this is a live feed and gonzo sex, things are a little more basic than in many gonzo scenes. The cameramen, such as Seymore, are frequently seen on screen, and there’s also people calling in with requests for what they want to see. It’s a very simple idea, although not one that would always seem to work well.

Seymore starts out checking in on his friend Hakan, who woke him up to tell him he was sick and couldn’t be in Seymore’s webcast. It’s also a very long scene, and lasts about a half hour, which is quite impressive since I never really got bored with the scene.

Seymore checks out redheaded Darla Crane and her tushy next, as well as the rest of her great body. I saw Darla for the first time a couple weeks ago in another movie and have to admit that I was rather unimpressed with her looks. She looks like she’s a little on the old side, and her implants are also a bit on the large side. Despite this, she put on a great performance that won me over by the end and which had me really looking forward to this one. This time around, she starts off even stronger and looking extremely friendly with an amazing smile and a very bubbly personality. I couldn’t blame Seymore at all when asked to be able to taste her pussy, and she seemed to enjoy it as well. She smiles and giggles quite a bit as Seymore works over her pussy, as well as her tits. There’s a little attention given to Seymore and Ebony, but much of the time they’re in the background of the action with Gina and Darla.

Things move on once again as Lee Stone and Mark Davis, two of the top men in adult films today, show up ready to go completely naked and with hard cocks. This leaves Gina, who I thought stole the show. She does a great job of doing it all here, and takes a cock or tongue in her ass with the same ease that most of us might open a bottle of beer, only she doesn’t do it by having somebody hit her top on the edge of a kitchen counter. She’s also the only one I saw do any male rimming, and does an amazing job of eating Mark Davis’ ass while Darla’s sucking his cock. It’s a great sequence, and one of my favorites in the movie just due to Gina’s enthusiasm for ass munching. Finally, the guys give the girls two nice pops. Ebony and Gina share the first facial, with Ebony getting in there nicely and being rewarded with a nice streak across her forehead by Mark. It’s a nice ending to the scene as well as the feature, and although it’s not a monster gusher, the girls do handle it well.

Seymore Butts’ Tushy Bowl 2001 is another fun gonzo feature. It’s nicely divided into two parts, with the first part being a warm up scene before the main event, and the second part being the action that was originally broadcast over the internet. All four girls and three guys do a great job here, with none of them seeming to hog the spotlight to try and take anything away from the others. They’re all there to have some great fun sex and it really pays off. Although I’ve normally enjoyed her in the past, I can’t say that I expected Gina Ryder to be nearly as impressive as she was here. She did it all with ease, and went in for stuff such as eating Mark Davis’ ass, where the other girls seemed to shy away from it. Despite this, I still have a couple problems with the feature. There’s a lot of advertising on the cover drawing attention to anal sex, such as a claim of 100% anal. Although every girl does take in up the poop chute, there’s more vaginal sex here than there is anal by a large margin. I found myself checking the time on the feature several times just to see how much was left in the feature so I might have an idea as to how long I might have to wait before somebody fucked in the ass. The feature also got a little long in the middle. Everybody was switching back and forth nicely, but the main scene here is over an hour and a quarter with the guys there for over an hour. Although there’s very good chemistry, after a bit I started to feel like I was getting hypnotized. Thankfully nobody started speaking in a monotone voice or I might have set off to try and assassinate the President of Malaysia rather than writing this review. Despite this, Seymore pulls it all off with relative ease. The breaks are handled well so you never really notice when somebody leaves to get a burrito or warm up their ass with the jaws of life. There aren’t any accidents, such as cameramen slipping in puddles of lube and falling into the action. Most importantly, there aren’t any lawyers and cops running around and no sopinas served during the shoot. It’s a good feature, but if things were broke apart so there was at least one more scene in this time it would have been a lot better.

Extras: Trailers are included for Tushy Anyone?, Tunnel Vision, Mission to Uranus, Gapes of Wrath, and How Do You Like This Tushy, Seymore?. The photo gallery lasts about two minutes with about six seconds per nice looking framed photo. If you want commercials, there’s plenty of those also including Seymore’s website, Tushy Magazine, and phone sex numbers.

The most impressive extra, however, is the behind the scenes featurette that runs about forty five minutes. Since this was a live web cast, most of the feature is extra sex and other angles of the action. There isn’t much that feels new here, but you do get to see different angles on the action. You see when and where people leave and come back in, as well as where many of the camera are set up. Although I don’t know that I’d call it behind the scenes, extra footage would be much more appropriate, it is a very nice extra that I’m sure Seymore’s fans will enjoy.

Overall: Currently, Tushy Bowl 2001 can be found online for between $23 and $25. If you’re a fan of Seymore and his style, I doubt you’ll be disappointed, but others might want to rent this first before shelling out the big bucks. The sex is good but it does get a bit long here and there. It also has a good transfer and good extras.

Note to Golden Goose: If you’re going to list a running time on your cover, please list an actual feature running time like almost every other company out there rather than a deceptive total DVD run time. If you list the running time for the feature the consumer can make a legitimate comparison between your product and others. As is, especially after the Seymore’s Classic DVDs that ran around forty minutes with a ninety minute listed running time, many consumers are going to get pissed off and not purchase your product in the future. They might even remember how you skew the truth if they have to sit on a jury for you in the future also.
