Synopsis:
Andy (Steven St. Croix) is a genuinely nice guy who gets dumped by his girlfriend (Buffy Sinclaire). He visits his friend Jessica (Ava Vincent) to console him and she tries to hook him up with a new girlfriend even though the two are perfect for each other.

Audio/Video:
True Love is presented with two language tracks. There is an English 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track and an English 2.0 Stereo track. Both tracks are relatively the same and both sound good. The music is at a slightly higher volume in the surround track. The audio is clear and the dialog can be heard throughout the film. Wicked hasn't included any foreign language tracks or any subtitle options for the feature film.

True Love is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of approximately 1.33:1, which appears to be the original aspect ratio for the film. As this is a recent film from Wicked, the picture quality is up to their standard excellent quality. There were no artifacts, glitches or blemishes to be seen in the picture. The color levels are correctly set making for a great viewing experience.

Special Features:
As per their usual, Wicked has loaded this disc with extras, most of which relate to the feature film. The best by far is the “All Access: The Making of True Love” featurette which runs for 22 minutes. Jim Enright is very talkative throughout the piece and it makes for some great after film viewing. There are also several short cast interviews on the disc that run for a total of eight-and-a-quarter minutes. There are interviews with Ava Vincent, Steven St. Croix, Amber Michaels, Felix Vicious, and Randy Spears. There is “The Girls of True Love” featurette which is three-and-three-quarter minutes long and is softcore footage of the female cast. There are star galleries with a photo gallery for Ava Vincent, with 16 stills, Amber Michaels, with 18 stills, Felix Vicious, with 19 stills, and Buffy Sinclaire, with 18 stills. All the galleries have the pictures on a track. There is also a main photo gallery with 18 stills on a track. There is also a behind the scenes gallery with 12 production stills on a track. There are star stats, which are text write-ups, a Wicked filmography, pictures and a link to their scene, for Ava Vincent, Amber Michaels, Felix Vicious, Buffy Sinclaire, and Randy Spears. There are the promotional materials that Wicked has shown at the adult expos for 1998 through 2000 and the Essential Elements promo. There are also trailers included on the disc for Dangerous Tides, Jenna's Revenge, The Wicked One, VR-69, Backseat Confidential, Jenna Ink, Jenna's Built for Speed, and Working Girl.

DVD-ROM Special Features:
True Love is a PC Friendly enhanced title and Wicked has included their standard DVD-ROM extras on the disc. There is the Wicked Web, which is a gateway link to Wicked's website. Also included is the Wicked Casino, which is a free casino program that you have to install on your computer that allows you to play casino style games online against opponents for Wicked Cash or just by yourself for fun. The available casino games are Black Jack, Roulette, Baccarat, Slots, and Poker. Wicked's Award Winners and Nominations lists all of the past Wicked titles that have been nominated for and/or won awards. The company profile gives a complete history of Wicked Pictures. There is also a Wicked theme wallpaper for your PC available on the disc.

Disc Design/Navigation:
The disc is designed with nice animated menus with background music. There are eight chapters available from the chapter menu. One is for the end credits, which I always love. Each chapter is identified by a video clip and a scene name. There are 12 chapter stops within the feature film itself. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film.

General Review:
True Love is a fun little film to come from Wicked Pictures which should be enjoyed by fans of tame plot-based adult films that aren't looking for much real substance in the film. The plot for the film is very thin and doesn't go very far. Nor does the plot offer any surprises in the film that the viewer doesn't notice coming from a mile away. However, for what the film is, the plot ends up working perfectly for the film. It never gets in the way of the sex and the film never tries to be anything other than what it is, a light hearted adult film which is perfectly acceptable for couples.

The sex scenes are tame, so viewers that like nastier sex probably won't find much here to their liking. The nastiest the film ever gets is some anal sex in one of the scenes and a little anilingus in another of the scenes. Neither is emphasized to the point where it should bother anyone. The sex scenes look good and are enjoyable to watch. The cast, both male and female, look good and do a great job with the sex as well as doing a decent job with their acting as well. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal and anal sex with blow jobs, pussy eating and anilingus. For viewers that care about condom use, there are condoms used in all of the sex scenes.

The film is well shot for both the sexual and non-sexual portions. The sex scenes offer a wide variety of shots for the scenes, from close-up shots to long shots, giving a good view of the action. The non-sex portions are shot well as well giving the film an overall good look. The locations for the film are well picked as well and fit the scenes, although the restaurant set looks a little odd and cheap. But one can't have everything.

Parting Thoughts:
True Love is a light hearted film which doesn't have too much of a story to it, but it doesn't need one. This is enjoyable fluff that you can share with your significant other. Viewers that like rough or nasty sex will want to pass on this title. If you are a fan of plot based tame adult entertainment, this is definitely a title that you should check out.
