Trapped is a hardcore gay thriller feature adult movie by co-directors Chi Chi LaRue and Steve Cruz featuring a story by the co-directors that was turned into a screenplay by D.P. Welles. Trapped is an abduction thriller that, unfortunately, has some shortcomings.

The plot for Trapped has Kurtis (Kurtis Wolfe) and Tegan Zane (Tegan) who are dating. Kurtis wants to take their relationship to the next level. Tegan is hesitant, and Kurtis tells him to go away for the weekend to figure out what he is looking for with their relationship. In a bar, a stranger (Colby Keller) slips a mickey into Tegan's drink and abducts him. The stranger takes Tegan to his isolated cabin while a manhunt lead by Detective Vario (Jason Vario) searches for Tegan.

The story concept for Trapped is good; however, unfortunately, the story as is presented in Trapped is bare-bones and was never given a chance to be developed as it should have. The lack of development is frustrating because Trapped had a lot of potential. As it is, the story for Trapped is dolled out just enough to flow each sex scene from one to another. Some of the sex scenes don't feel natural to the story either.

The sex scenes in the movie are plentiful, and the actors appear to be enjoying themselves during them. For several of the actors, they are only introduced for a few lines of dialog and then a sex scene, so there isn't any character build-up, so it is hard to tell if they are in character during the sex scenes. The actors do an excellent job with their roles for the non-sexual portions, and this reviewer wishes they were given more material.

Trapped was mostly shot at Naughty Pines, in Guerneville, Calfornia, a frequent location for desolate cabin shoots in adult movies. As a result of using Naughty Pines, the cabin location works perfectly for the movie. The movie also features some excellent outdoor photography. The movie also has some inventive angles and creative photographic techniques. Trapped may be lacking in plot; however, the movie looks nice.

Trapped is a hard movie to recommend, it had a lot of potential. However, aspects of the movie like the story are rushed. If viewers go into the movie wanting to see a feature, they will leave disappointed. If viewers are only interested in the sex scenes, the movie may offer the viewer enough.

Trapped was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 1080p. The image quality is beautiful with no noticeable blemishes or defects. The colors are excellent and natural looking.

Trapped is presented with an English Stereo audio track. The sound is excellent with clear and easy to understand at all times. There aren't any noticeable issues with the audio quality at all.

Raging Stallion Studios hasn't included any extras with their streaming-only edition of Trapped.

Unfortunately, the story — while the concept itself is excellent — is lacking due to being threadbare and essentially existing to introduce each sex scene. Unless all that matters to you, the viewer, is the sex, unfortunately, Trapped is probably a movie to skip.
