Transition is a dramatic transgender adult feature movie from TransSensual and writer/director Nica Noelle and is distributed by Mile High Media. Transition explores the concept of having to tell one's significant other about undergoing gender reassignment surgery.

In Transition, James (River Stark), who is in the military, returns after a six-month enlistment and having begun gender reassignment surgery to his wife Angie (Mercedes Carrera). Angie finds out that James has started gender reassignment surgery and can't handle it. James goes to stay at his ex's (Erica Lauren) house while Angie contacts Aspen (Aspen Brooks), a transsexual escort, to find out what she is getting into with James.

Transition isn't a bad movie, the most disappointing aspect to it is that the plot is a little thin. There is a lot that writer, and director, Nica Noelle could have worked into the story to create a more in-depth plot for the movie. Especially since the plot was one that interested me and given what has been going on around the country recently, could have done something extra besides just being an adult movie. Also, as a result of the thin plot, the characters are never that well developed. Which was unfortunate since the cast did a good job with their roles in the movie.

The sex scenes in the movie are nicely shot and they look good. The performers always seem to be having a good time and the pairings are so that you get almost every combination of sexual scenes possible within the movie. The sex scenes are on the long side, which wouldn't be as bad if it didn't seem to cut into the time available for the non-sexual portions of the movie. Most of the sex scenes fit in with the plot and don't seem to be there just for the sake of having a sex scene, which is always helpful in a feature adult movie.

Transition could have done much more for the plot and character development, however, the sex scenes are well done and the movie, both the sexual and non-sexual footage, looks very good. Fans of feature movies will want to probably give this one a rental before picking it up. Fans of transgender movies will likely enjoy this title.

TransSensual and Mile High Media have done a nice job with their release of Transition. Transition was shot on digital equipment and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 480i. The image on this release looks great with no noticeable defects or issues. The picture is crystal clear with nice vibrant colors.

Transition is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo audio track. There are no noticeable issues or defects with the audio track and the dialog in the movie can be heard and understood at all times.

TransSexual has included a few extras on the release. There are roughly two minutes of bloopers, a photo gallery and a compilation of the cumshots from the film.

Transition is a promising transgender feature adult movie that, although never truly living up to the level it could have, is far from being a bad movie. The sex scenes are well done and offer the viewer a variety to what is offered and a nice change from scene to scene. The plot is, unfortunately, a little thin and underdeveloped. Fans of the lighter end of adult feature movies featuring transgender individuals should enjoy this movie. TransSensual has done a nice job with the release. There isn't much for extras however the movie is presented beautifully.
