The Movie |
Trains is an all girl all sex short movie made by director Paul Deeb for the now defunct Pillow Book Gallery. Trains uses a technique that seems to be popular among the short movies that were made for Pillow Book Gallery that, in a way, breaks the fourth wall. Trains never hides the fact that this is a scene that was being captured on camera. The viewer can see at times Deeb capturing the sexual tryst with his camera.
In a way, Trains makes this reviewer think about the work of Andy Warhol, not in that this rips off anything Warhol did but more in the way that the short is self-aware. Trains is an absolutely beautiful movie that presents a love scene between Dylan Ryan and Lily Cade. Within Trains, it isn't just the sex scene that is important, it is how the sex scenes are presented as well.
No, Trains is not your standard all sex short. This isn't just a get two people having sex, film them, and send the audience off. Trains is true erotica, where the scene builds as Ryan and Cade explore each other. The movie utilizes unique camera angles, many close and intimate shots, which should never be mistaken for the gynecological close-ups of adult film loops long past.
Deeb makes use of color footage and black and white footage within Trains along with various sized frames, a technique he has utilized well in many of his short movies. The short movie has very tight editing which works to the advantage of the movie. And last, but not least, is the music in the short. Deeb makes wonderful use of music that is as integral to the scene as the cast members in it. Deeb has created an all-around visual and auditory feast of erotica with Trains.
Cade and Ryan make their sex scene within Trains truly sizzle. The two emit true heat throughout the scene that looks like it will melt the camera. Trains is well worth watching.
The Edition |
The edition of Trains screened was a digital screener provided to this reviewer by the director Paul Deeb as such there is likely to be differences between the digital screener and any market released versions of Trains. Trains was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1. There wasn't a flaw to be seen anywhere during the screener and the colors within the short movie were beautiful.
Trains is presented with an English 2.0 Stereo audio track which sounded absolutely beautiful. The dialog in the short movie is clear and easy to understand at all times. The music is nicely balanced and sounds wonderful.
Final Thoughts |
Trains is an excellent short movie from Paul Deeb and Pillow Book Gallery. Trains takes a sex scene between two girls, shot with an eye for the art and erotica, and presents it to the viewer. Frankly, Trains is a great short adult movie. Hopefully, the Pillow Book Gallery short movies will get released again in the near future for viewers to watch.
