Tourist Trade Review

First, I really want to thank all the regular contributors on this site- joeblow69, joe shaver, folkyboy, netguy, and touchdowntony too. They've helped me make some good choices in what to buy, and their reviews (especially joeblow69 and joe shaver) are usually right on the money. Unfortunately, they've written such good reviews on all the good movies out there that all that is left is for the rest of us to warn against the bad or just mediocre ones...
Which brings me to Tourist Trade. Probably one of the weaker Titan movies (Gorge, R.E.M., Heat, etc.) and certainly one of the more disappointing Bruce Cam products, Tourist Trade is still better than most of the porn out there- Falcon and (depending on your tastes) Bel Ami being the exceptions. But, it ultimately falls a little flat, and with all the other great movies out there it is hard to recommend this movie, unless you're a big fan of younger German uncut boys mixing it up with circumcised Americans.

Scene 1: Thom Barron and Jack Simmons
Jack Simmons meets German uber-hottie Thom Barron after a jog. Retreating to a spare room in the hostel Jack is staying at, the two immediately hook up. After exchanging mutual blow-jobs, Jack rims Thom (great ass, by the way) and plays with his hole a bit before fucking him in several positions. Thom cums while being fucked, always a plus- but the cumshot is a bit feeble. Jack makes up for it when he blows his load, at least. Overall, a pretty average sex scene.
Thom Barron is a real cutie- with his short hair and pierced nipple he looks like a little German skinhead. For the record, Jack is not shy about playing with that little nipple ring, either- way to use everything you can! Jack, however, doesn't do much for me in this scene... he's got a good dick for the job, but his body could be tighter and he's been in waaaaay too many other movies. His "acting" and personality outside of the sex scenes turns me off, as well.

Scene 2: Alex Powers and Jackson Phillips
The only all-American scene in the film, and as mediocre as the last. Alex and Jackson are cute enough, and at least Alex mixes things up a bit by bringing out a dildo for Jackson's ass near the end of the scene, but otherwise a by-the-numbers BJ/Rim (only Alex's ass, but it is a very hot ass...)/Fuck scene. I kept wishing to see Alex get topped, but no luck.

Scene 3: Scott Armstrong and Jens Hammer
Scott tried to ask for directions in German from native Jens Hammer, but Jens invited him up in English for some fun. Jens H. is the third (and last) of the cute guys for this film, but he's definitely not a traditional Titan star- like many of the German stars, he's more what you would expect from Bel Ami. Scott isn't ugly by any means, but he's not someone you would expect a hot young German boy to jump on either.
After the obligatory (and, again, average) mutual blowjobs, Jens eats out Scott's ass before Scott sits on his dick for a bit. Jens then fucks Scott for a bit on a table (the bit with Scott grabbing onto the German-English dictionary seemed forced and distracted), until all of a sudden Scott is fucking Jens. While I'm all for flip-flop fucking, it's disappointing when the transition is done this poorly... at least Jens cums while Scott is drilling him.

Scene 4: Jens Buttner and Frederik Burdo
Scene 5: Pablo Aduan and Richie Foster
WTF??? Two scenes where two random German boys get it on... I've included these two scenes under one heading because they're pretty much the same, though Pablo and Richie seems to be more Hispanic than German. None of the guys in these scenes are all that attractive, Pablo especially looks downright underage, and the only saving grace here is the Jens Buttner has a darling little ass that gets eaten then reamed. Lots of foreskin here, which might be nice for you...

Scene 6: The Orgy
The big finale, with all four Americans, returning (and welcomed) Jens Hammer, and two rather blah-looking German boys Sasha Vayn and Christian Bar. The Americans make an ass of themselves in a German bar/restaurant, then Scott, recognized Jens from their previous encounter, challenges him to a game of darts... loser gives all to the winners. The Americans win, of course, and an orgy ensues- but at least the unattractive waiter stays out of things.
As far as orgies go, again, this is completely average... you're not always sure who is doing what to who, though Jens, Scott, and Sasha are the bottoms. Jackson Phillips is a little rough with Scott and the German boys, but nothing especially titillating if you've seen any other Titan movies.

VIDEO QUALITY:
Not good, not bad... it definitely gets the job done, and there's no major flubs, but it's nothing compared to Gorge or R.E.M., for example.

CLOSING COMMENTS: Again, all in all a mediocre title... just barely above "ok." Few of the guys are really noteworthy, the sex is pretty mundane and dispassionate, and the setting isn't all that interesting. The attempts at "plot" especially even detract from the movie- if the setup isn't at all sexy, sometimes it's best to just get to the sex. I will say that this may be worth getting as part of the "Too Good To Be True" bundle at Titan's official site- four movies for $99, all of them apparently below the normal Titan standard but maybe worth $25 a pop.
