Directorial debuts are expected in this industry since there is so much porn to be made and watched. It is only a matter of time before performers step behind the camera to curate a vision they are so familiar with. Inside and out Tina Kay adds this performer perspective for her debut as a director in Tina’s Porn House Vacation from Harmony Films. It is a smart move if you are a performer with an established fan base like hers situated on both sides of the pond. It helps that Tina’s appeal on both the American front and her home European front helped influence this smart move to team up with Harmony Films for a directorial foray. The DVD itself is just a vessel of this vision with nothing special attached to it. No bonus scenes or extra content like behind the scenes. Instead, the DVD starts right up once you slide it in your player and throws you right into the mix.

The presentation of the box itself does seem approachable since the front of it has the lineup of some of the female stars this film has to offer. Megan Inky was excluded from this pictured lineup which I found odd. Tina Kay stands in the center of Lady Dee, Barbie Sins, Kiki Minaj, and Amber Jayne in frozen poses. The company logos and the other necessary info for the film are present on this DVD with PAL region coding. Turn the DVD box around to see other info besides the Regional Coding like approximate run time which is 106 minutes. The film’s small cast is listed right above the available technical info. Once again I have to point out no bonus features were listed which really takes away from this being a total DVD experience. Not having any sort of a main menu on this DVD doesn’t help either.

Through the thicket of porn’s saturated gonzo market, there is indeed some individuality. In fact, it sticks out more in the crowd of content when a performer decides to infuse their talents into projects after deciding to sit in the director’s chair. With this endeavor, Tina Kay takes her viewers on a little vacation of sorts. After the smooth introduction splash with credits, you will see Tina Kay herself with a welcoming message about the porn house you’re about to enjoy as you sit back and relax. The house sits in the beautiful weather of Spain and seems almost sequestered from the real world which is perfect to live out these fantasies of Tina’s.

Tina’s great time starts at this porn villa with her leading herself down the balcony she was standing in as she spoke to the camera about what is about to happen. Sure enough two male talent sitting poolside that she waved to earlier in her monologue become part of this first scene that is unfolding. It is better suited as a rental to see Tina’s vision at work in her first directorial effort. That may be on its way to being a collector’s item but this is more for fans to check out on an experimental basis. If you like what you see hopefully we can expect more from Tina Kay in the future as far as directing. I just hope Harmony Films or whoever Tina works with next gives her a chance to put out a DVD with animated menus, behind the scenes, and a photo gallery of some sort to make it feel like a complete package that she deserves.
