The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with compilations, the technical aspects often vary a little from scene to scene. The audio, for the most part, is nicely balanced. There are a few background noises and a couple hollow spots, but for some of the locations this seems pretty good. The video is much the same way. While most of the picture is nicely clear and well lit, there are a few shadows and a bit of pixelation. Thankfully, these seem to happen in the same scene (between Ashley Moore and Kurt Lockwood), but there’s also a few fast zooms and pans.

Music: None

False Advertising: The cover states “Brand-New Girls... Pure Amateur Pussycats!”, which makes this sound like a new release with amateur footage. Although I don’t like it, I can handle the amateur label for scenes with fresh talent. What I can’t handle is the “Brand new girls” label, which makes this sound like it’s a new release rather than an Amateur Angels compilation. This seems quite deceptive to me, so I’m deducting a half point from the overall score.

Menus: The main menu doesn’t give the best first impression. It blends a pixelated still with a dark clip from the movie. The chapter menu isn’t much better, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a scene number.

The Feature

Tight & Fresh collects nine scenes from the Amateur Angels series. You don’t have to worry about any of the interviews Luc has with the girls, as each scene gets right to the action here after letting you know who the girl is in each scene.

Scene 1 - Kinzie Kenner, Lucy Lee, and Billy Glyde

Billy takes on a couple lovely ladies in a scene from Amateur Angels 12 to start things off. The camera work seemed overly soft, and rarely gave me a view I really liked. Although Lucy got a little action going between her and Kinzie, it died as soon as Billy’s cock went into Kinzie, with the girl not getting fucked barely even seeming like she was involved in the scene any more. Virtually everything about this scene felt held back to me, and the entire scene left me extremely bored.

Scene 2 - Allison Whyte and Kyle Stone

Allison and Kyle’s scene from Amateur Angels 8 is next. Redheaded Allison starts things out kissing Kyle while wearing a pink plaid skirt and sexy white tied off shirt. Here, however, she drives the scene extremely well and makes her a girl that I want to see more of. This is a great scene.

Scene 3 - Annie Body and Mickey G.

Amateur Angels 3 appears in third place with Annie and Mickey. Anni an okay looking redhead, strips down and lets Mickey work his tongue over her twat and toes before she slobbers his knob. Scene 4 - Veronica Velour and Alan Knight

Things move to the original Amateur Angels 1 for cute and naturally built brunette Veronica and Alan. This is an okay scene. Although this scene has great chemistry, the heat falters a little in places. That something was the interview, as in the original scene you learned that Alan was Veronica’s real life partner and that she’s deaf so he had to translate. That explains a lot of her quietness in the scene, and I also think it’s pretty great to see that she isn’t really willing to let her lack of hearing be a handicap for her. Veronica gets into the sex nicely through this scene, and makes this a nicely worthwhile scene.

Scene 5 - Jesse V. and Ian Daniels

Amateur Angels 5 appears next with the lovely Jesse V. and Ian. Ian warms cute dirty blonde Jesse up with his tongue and fingers before she mouths his cock lovingly. Scene 7 - Ashley Moore and Kurt Lockwood

Ashley and Kurt’s scene from Amateur Angels 10 is next. This is a scene that really shows what chemistry can do. The camera work often left a bit to be desired, and there were a couple minor technical problems as well. Although you didn’t get to see a lot of Kurt’s face, there were plenty of looks from Ashley that made it perfectly clear that she was loving everything Kurt was doing to her. Personally, I loved her body style and her pierced nipples, which drew me into the scene very well also. This is far from a perfect scene, but it was still one of my favorites in the movie.

Scene 8 - Alaura Eden and Mario Rossi

Alaura and Mario’s scene comes from Amateur Angels 13. Mario starts things out kissing Alaura on the tits and her mouth. Tight & Fresh is a pretty good compilation. It never really gets into some of the harder sex that appeared in the series, but there are some pretty solid scenes here. Alaura Eden’s scene is easily the hardest scene in the movie, and also one of the best. Ashley Moore’s scene, which doesn’t get into any anal, is another great passionate romp that worked very well for me. On the opposite end of things, Kinzie Kenner and Lucy Lee’s opening scene with Billy Glide is easily the worst scene here, and started the compilation off low enough that it really didn’t have anywhere to go but up. Many of the scenes, though, come off as what I think a lot of people hoped for picking this one up. Most of the scenes have that “I just got into porn and don’t quite know what to do for the camera” yet feeling and offers up a lot of what’s very likeable about the Amateur Angels series. It gives a mix of pros and newbies, and rarely has a scene with poor chemistry. It also lets you know who the girl in each scene is, although it doesn’t go as far as letting you know who the guys are or where the scenes originally come from. Normally this annoys me, but here it doesn’t stand out as being so much of a big deal to me. Tight & Fresh is all coming from one series by one guy, and if you like it odds are you’re going to be okay checking out any installment of the series. On the flip side of the coin, if you aren’t interested in any of the scenes here, odds are that the Amateur Angels series won’t do much for you either. Tight & Fresh isn’t a great compilation, but it is pretty well done and collects a nice smattering of scenes from Luc Wylder’s Amateur Angels series.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, Adam & Eve’s DVDs can be found online for between $8 and $25, with several stores offering them for around $15. At the low end, this one isn’t too bad. The sex is pretty good, and gives a nice overview of the Amateur Angels series. The technical aspects are pretty average, but there isn’t a lot of effort put into the extras. This is a pretty average compilation.

Note to Adam & Eve: It’s okay if you’re going to release compilations, but portraying it as a new feature is an easy way to lose customers.
