Initial Expectations: Although it can be a little primitive at time, I really like Luc Wylder’s style. I’m going into this one with fairly high expectations.

Audio /Video Quality: Luc Wylder isn’t normally known for having high technical aspects. The audio is fairly well balanced, but if there’s anything going on in the background you’re normally going to hear it. The video is also a bit grainy, and there’s camera shake and soft focus problems. Basically, it’s a step or two up from amateur porn towards studio porn.

Music: The music comes and goes throughout the movie. When there is music, it’s sexy and nicely balanced with the rest of the audio.

Disc Complaints / False Advertising: There’s no time stamp, which always annoys me and is one of my biggest pet peeves. I like to jump around in features, and without a time stamp that’s next to impossible. There’s also over an hour difference between what’s claimed on the cover and what’s in the feature. This annoys me enough that I’m deducting a full point from the overall score.

Menus: The menus aren’t too impressive. The main menu is unanimated and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene.

The Feature: Their First Time collects a series of completely unrelated sex scenes. The only thing that seems to connect them is that Ariana is frequently in the scenes and Luc Wylder is behind the camera. Sometimes there’s a little interaction between Luc and the performers, and sometimes he just lets them go.

Kobe Tai, who’s sporting some horrible implant scars, and Ariana start things off with Zach Thomas. Ariana starts out exploring Kobe with her tongue before Kobe sucks Ari’s pierced nipples. Luc lets Ari know that Zach’s there to join in, but she has him hold off so she can eat Kobe’s cunt. This is a fairly average scene. There’s some great chemistry between Ariana and Kobe, but that’s about it. Zach is all but left out of the scene, even when he’s fucking one of the girls. Luc also seemed to focus in on one or two places in the scene so you didn’t have a good idea what was going on as a whole.

This is a great scene! Christi and Ariana look like they’re really into each other, and put a lot into the scene. They work back and forth nicely, but the scene is held back a little by the camera not quite getting all of them in a few times.

Their First Time is a feature that I think people will either really love or really hate. It never has the feel of your typical, professionally made porno, but it rarely has the feel of amateur porn either. Instead, it falls somewhere in between with a bit of a guerrilla style approach to the camera work that’s just a little better than amateur, and sex that appears to focus on people who are familiar enough with each other to have fun. There’s a little banter between the camera and the performers at times, and it’s all quite charming in its own way. At the same time, it’s also a little too primitive, as the camera work has plenty of shakes and soft focus blurs that always interfere with watching the feature. It looks like the scenes here were shot over the course of years, so it’s kind of fun to watch Luc’s style progress over time, but things are still a bit too rough at times. Their First Time is a charming feature, but not always as hot as it could have been.

There are some okay extras, but the technical aspects frequently leave a bit to be desired.

Note to Luc Wylder and Adam & Eve: Please pay closer attention to your listed running time! A difference as large as this is bound to piss off more than a few customers!
