Belying some cheap packaging and tacky presentation, Tera Patrick Exposed turns out to be more than I bargained for…even if, in a sly move, the other girls featured in this compilation of scenes from Randy West's series are only billed on the flip side of the box - be warned, it's not all about Tera.

I am not familiar with Randy's productions but I presume this scene's format is pretty standard. The gorgeous, pouting Ms Patrick poses and plays with herself for Randy's probing camera. This part is pretty loose but provides some very pleasant views of Tera's fantastic body as she slips out of her little dress. It takes all of, what, 30 seconds for her to playfully call him a dirty old man…

After a little clothed chitchat on the couch, and with the camera in the hands of a third party, Randy starts to stroke Tera's elegant feet and she begins to warm up. She's either already the consummate professional, or she really does get into it - either way, it's a delight to watch.

Randy, easily old enough to be 23-year-old Tera's dad (Up And Cummers #73 dates from 1999), receives a super blowjob from Tera to start off an excellent sexual encounter, one that has visible signs of real arousal throughout and stretches to rounds two and three, though there's only one facial come shot. There's a good vibe between the two (Tera's stated liking for older men is helpful, even essential, given that she actually rims the old fella at one stage) and Randy does a great job of attending to Tera's needs in impressively physical style with dick, tongue or fingers, and the results are explosive. Though it's very basic porn, as far as Tera is concerned, I am not sure how any amount of costumes, Caribbean locations or glitzy production sheen could make better porn. The unobtrusive camerawork consistently makes Tera the delectable centre of attention, and that's really all that's necessary. It's a splendid scene.

For a quick postscript, Randy's cohort (the cameraman I presume) gets to come over Tera's long tootsies and she nimbly licks the come off her own feet!

So, what's not to like about Tera? From her beautiful face to her winning personality, from her knockout body to the sexy little noises she makes during sex, I'm eager for more. Having to experience it via the conduit of Randy West is no real hardship - the weather-beaten old gunslinger might not be everyone's cup of tea but he just does such a good job.

In this scene from Up And Cummers #80, issued in 2000, Tera makes her promised return by joining Randy in the shower. She slips off her robe and gets down to suck his dick right away. Randy fingers her a little, and takes her from behind in the shower stall, a thumb in the ass being as anal as it gets. Tera then goes through to the bedroom, while Randy finishes showering, allowing for some more teasing views of her body as she slips on a pair of stockings that she finds…Randy, is there something we should know?

The sex is almost inevitably inferior to the previous scene, but there's still some hot tit-shaking action to be had as Randy sticks it to the eager Tera, then she rides on top in a pleasingly rude reverse cowgirl position of sorts, and tastes his come after he's shot inside her. There's a short foot fetish interlude, with Randy and Tera feasting on her toes, and then the pair 69 until Randy jerks another load onto her face. Again there's a good mood in the scene, and Tera's star quality shines through.

Skylar Knight, from Up And Cummers #79
I might have compared cute young brunette Skylar to Tera's younger, slimmer, more inexperienced self - but in truth there's just no comparison. She's still quite appealing though. A few moments of Skylar sucking her own feet provide the epilogue to another pleasant scene.

AKA Solveig, Solvay appears in a clip from 1997, which, judging by Rog's review of the original VHS, seems to have been shorn of its opening moments, so that in this version everyone's already naked and ready when the scene starts. Solvay is down sucking Jake Steed's dick while Randy takes her from behind. She's noisy and has a nasty, sexy attitude even if she's not so pretty to my eyes. For some reason, she's wearing a baseball cap; she has a nice chain round her waist, but is otherwise unclothed.

It's not long before Randy's sliding his dick into her ass while she attempts to keep sucking Jake. The latter then takes her doggy style in pussy and ass, easing it between her taut buttocks to loud reaction. She blows Randy as Jake takes her. Finally a good view of her whole lean frame and smallish tits as she rides Jake, prior to Randy moving in to make up the DP. To wrap it up, Solvay lies back and lets the boys drop their loads on her face. The picture quality is pretty horrible in some parts, but it's still a scene that carries some good energy even if Solvay isn't quite my kind of girl.

Overall
This is a rough diamond of a compilation. It's hampered by the cheap presentation but the fact of the matter is that the scenes featuring Tera are not only interesting as far as her career has panned out, but also for the excellent sex. The quality does fall away as the movie goes on but even when applying strict criteria on quality, it's clear that the Tera scenes alone are worth watching. To see the younger Tera, with a slightly fuller figure, in some agreeably natural sex scenes was a real treat. And Randy's paunch doesn't even get in the way!

However, it's still a little bit naughty of New Machine to sell this as a Tera Patrick compilation - it's a Randy West compilation, with Tera Patrick scenes included. Let's face it, anything with Tera's name on it will sell shed loads these days, so a little honesty wouldn't hurt.

DVD Comments
I suppose it's the case with any Randy West movie - Evil Angel his issue his series on tape but New Machine release the DVDs - that one can only wonder what kind of job Evil Angel would have made of the digital disc. The menus are tacky, the extras (a text biography, a handful of stills, a few trailers) sorely lacking and the multiple-chapter set-up is profoundly annoying when combined with the absence of a chapter menu. At first glance the picture quality is merely mediocre, but it doesn't stand up to close scrutiny - though variable, it's frequently grainy, colour is on the weak side and blocking tends to affect areas of fast movement (like Tera's wobbling boobs!). The sound is adequate, but overall the cheapness of the package doesn't do its basic but worthy contents justice.
