The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects leave a bit to be desired, but are pretty good for a movie that’s ten years old. The audio is clear and pretty well balanced. The video, however, leaves a bit to be desired. It has a slight bit of grain, but the bigger problem is that the lighting is often a bit low. It’s more unusual to have things clearly lit than to have tons of shadows interfering with things. The lighting is hit or miss almost instant for instant throughout the movie and the biggest problem with the technical aspects.

Music: The music leaves a bit to be desired. It’s often a bit on the loud side and does a good job of showing why porn music from the early nineties is often made fun of. The really sad thing is that this is some of the better porn music I’ve heard from the early to mid-nineties.

Menus: The menus are okay. The main menu has some animation, but I can’t say that it worked for me. The chapter menu has a nice style, but is very stereotypical by letting you just pick a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

When bitchy Cindy (Serenity) gets in an office accident, she finds herself in Purgatory. This time around, Purgatory is a game show hosted by Jonathan Morgan. He brings up different parts of Cindy’s life and lets the Devil (J.B.) and the archangel (Melanie Moore) decide which direction she should go based on the subjects.

Scene 1 - Serenity and Sindee Coxx

Serenity starts things out getting it on with her boyfriend’s sister Sindee. The girls kiss and grope their way around each other before Serenity slides down to slide her tongue into Sindee’s slit. Sindee thanks her by eating Serenity as she bends over in front of her and then lets Serenity get back down to tongue her again. Serenity moves up to ride Sindee’s face before the girls sixty-nine sitting on the couch. Finally, the finish things up with a bit of kissing.

This is a pretty hot scene. It goes on a little long, but Serenity and Sindee have great chemistry and energy. They keep things moving nicely and the girls balance giving and receiving very well. The girls sometimes overdo things a little, but this is still a hot scene and one of the best in the movie.

Scene 2 - Tera Heart and Tony Tedeschi

When Serenity lets them out of work before the jobs all the way done, newlyweds Tera and Tony get busy on the desk. They both strip right down so that Tera can vocally approve of how Tony fingers and kisses her below the belt. Since words, even when they’re monosyllabic, aren’t always enough to convey one’s thoughts, Tera drops down to suck Tony’s cock while giving plenty of great eyes and a little stroking. She climbs up to ride Tony cowgirl style and then flops back on the desk for a little missionary work. Tera even lets Tony spear her sphincter as she lays back on the desk before sliding down for a facial finish.

This is a pretty good scene. Tera and Tony put in some great energy and seem to have nice chemistry. Unfortunately Tera goes so overboard with the vocals that it started to interfere with the scene for me. This wasn’t too bad of a scene and another of the high points in the movie sexually.

Scene 3 - Emerald Estrada and Jonathan Morgan

When Jonathan decides it’s time for a break, the Devil sends Emerald to try to sway him to their side. She gives him a bit of a strip tease before turning her persuasive mouth loose on his cock. Jonathan reciprocates with a little tonguing before fucking her missionary style. Jonathan has Emerald roll over telling her to give her his ass, and then goes right to work fucking her pussy doggy style. After a bit he moves it up to her ass, since you just can’t fuck a demon in only one hole, and then finishes things up spewing his seed on her tongue.

This is an average scene at best. There’s some okay energy, but the lighting and camera work leaves quite a bit to be desired. The lighting is very dark, and the camera work focuses a bit heavier on the penetration here than in some of the other scenes. It’s an okay scene, but far from the best in the movie.

Scene 4 - Amanda Adams and Jonathan Morgan

In order to win back Jonathan, decent looking redhead Amanda decides to take him on as well. He helps her strip down and then tongues her twat before standing up so she can suck him in reciprocation. Amanda lets Jonathan start out fucking her like a dog before rolling onto her back for a little missionary work. Finally, Amanda has Jonathan blow his nutty goodness all over her tongue.

This is an okay scene. Amanda and Jonathan put some okay energy into the scene but the lighting interferes with things again. It’s a decent scene that doesn’t scrape the bottom of the barrel in the movie, but it isn’t too far about the previous scene.

Scene 5 - Serenity and Steve Justice

Finally, Serenity and Scott get it on. They kiss as Scott strips Serenity out of her business suit and goes after her tantalizing titties. He moves down to mouth her muff before letting her give him a hummer in return. They fuck missionary style on the desk before Serenity rolls over to give Scott a different view. Finally he jerks himself onto Serenity’s glorious ass.

We’ve all heard of things that make you go “hmmmmmmmm”. This scene is similar. It’s one of those things that make you go “ehhhhhhhhh”. There’s nice chemistry between Serenity and Scott, but the camera work really leaves a lot to be desired. It focuses very heavily on the close-ups, and I couldn’t help but be distracted continually by everything around me. Even the empty can of tangerine Diet Rite seemed more interesting than this scene. This scene is average at best and a disappointment even as Serenity’s first boy - girl scene.

The Temptation of Serenity was probably a decent movie back when it was released, but now seems average at best. The high point of the movie is the plot sequences. Jonathan Morgan does a great job as the host with the most, and Serenity, J.B., and Melanie Moore also do a great job with their clothes on. The sequences flow nicely and there’s a few chuckles throughout. Sadly, the sex can’t keep up with it. Most of this is due to the camera work and lighting. The camera focuses fairly heavily on the penetration rather than trying to balance things out while the lighting is often dark and plagues the scenes with shadows. I wanted to like the sex, since there is some nice energy and chemistry, but I just couldn’t see it good enough to like it better. The Temptation of Serenity is an okay porno, but nothing too special.

The Extra Stuff

Trailers are included for The Bride of Double Feature, Flashpoint, Heartache, The Kissing Game, Satyr, Sex Safari, Spellbound, and Working Girl. Audio bios with a few photos of the star, a little personal information, and a link to the star’s scene are included for Serenity, Tera Heart, Sindee Coxx, and Jonathan Morgan. Serenity, Sindee, Tera, and Amanda Adams also have star galleries lasting almost a minute and a half with about four seconds per decent looking snapshot or full screen photo. Finally, there’s bloopers, promotional materials, a company profile, web links, a listing of Wicked’s award winning and nominated movies, the Wicked Casino, and a commercial for the Free Speech Coalition.

The blooper reel lasts nearly five minutes. There’s plenty of verbal flubs as well as silliness on the set. With Jonathan Morgan on board this should be no surprise to anybody. The silliness even continues into the sex scenes with Jonathan. This is a fun blooper reel and well worth checking out.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, most Wicked DVDs can be found online for between $15 and $30 with most stores offering them around $22. Rent this one first. It has its moments, but I don’t think it has much replay value. The technical aspects are handled pretty well and there’s a little effort put into the extras. This is an okay movie on an okay DVD.
